Why high crowd predictions for Mon Oct 20?

I'm wondering if any of the experts or Orlando locals can explain something for me.
On the UG website ( touringplans) I've checked the crowd calendar for our dates in October, and something seems a bit strange.

They indicate a crowd level of 4 for Sat 18th, 6 for Sunday 19th and 7 for Monday 20th.

It seems odd that the Monday prediction is so high and the Saturday so low? It's not Columbus Day weekend - is there some other special event happening in Orlando on that Monday?

you might get better answers if you email Len that runs touringplans.com. it is not that there is something special going on, other than halloween. and MNSSHP will impact crowds, as does travel days, etc. and you have not mentioned which park is which for crowd prediction.

Im going the week of the 13-20th and I belive the high crowds are for kids Fall Breaks. I noticed there are a lot of schools that have off the week starting the 20th. Last year we went the week of the 8th and it wasnt that bad but def busier than we thought.

I don't know the answer to your question, but the UG had similar numbers for our trip last May from the 16th - 19th. Schools weren't out yet and our trip didn't coincide with any holidays. I think there were 4's and 5's on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then a 7 on Monday. The calendar was right on. It was much more crowded on Monday than on the other days.

We'll be there Oct 18-Oct 24. Our school district has Fall Break Oct 23-24 so I know alot of families from our area head down to WDW during that time.
