.....ever do anything about teenage yobs destroying other peoples property, especially as they have obviously been drink and are underage!

as you may tell I have had a rough night.

some lovely yobbo's have yet again destroyed part of my fence. 4 panels this time, kicked to bits (I wasnt in this time but the lady next door kindly watched them and did nothing)

I am looking at £55 a panel, I am really now wanting to move even though I love my house.

I just dont understand why I bother calling the police when all they say is theyre under age, well yes they are so they shouldnt be drinking and shouldnt be kicking in other peoples property.

I mean if I had done anything like that as a teenager, my dad woulda had me off my feet so quick my head would spin. Plus I would have been made to go apologise and pay for the damage

sorry vent over

sorry to hear you had a bad night Anna,it is extremly annoying that people seem to be able to do what they like with no consequences

I'm not surprised at you venting Anna, must have been very frustrating.
I think the majority of blame lies at the door of the parents unfortunately, why aren't they concerned as to where their kids are at that time of night?
I agree its annoying when the police won't do anything, if they weren't so bogged down with paperwork on every single little incident that arises I'm sure they'd love to send a bobby round to give them a cuff round the ear.

totally agree Carol :thumbsup2

Sorry to hear about the fences but the first big hurdle the Police will face is the fact that the witness, your neighbour, will not get involved and did nothing as it was occuring! Without any evidence of who did this then we cannot investigate and even if we think we know who did it the CPS will not authorise a charge for court, as much as we would like to it just won't happen wihtout people getting involved and helping us as witnesses. Also with the way the govt are letting the Police Service decline then things will only get worse.

Carol is also right the problem often starts at home with little parental control and it just goes from there.

Claire ;)

oh i agree with it starting at the parents, the last time the fence was done in I knew who did it I went to school with their brother, and yep alcoholic parents who didnt care a jot for what the kids were doing and obviously still dont,

anna how awful.
I think the police are powerless to fight this sort of crime. its a real shame. I was especially annoyed at those youths that got away very lightly with killing a man driving( boulder off a bridge).

I do blame the parents, where are they? do they know what their kids are doing and do they care? I doubt it:sad2:
