Why doesn't WDW have strawberries?

i was just at grand floridan cafe last wednesday and that the best strawberry salad! it is always a staple on the menu there and i recommend everyone try it- it's so fantastic!

My DS4 loves strawberries but the menus always say fruit cup/salad or something like that which is melon, grapes, and the like. Every restaurant we asked, gave him a fresh bowl of delicious sweet strawberries. Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare was the only place I saw strawberries on a buffet or menu. And don't forget their strawberry soup!

We were in the World Thanksgiving week and lucklily we found strawberries at crystal palace breakfast, mara, boma breakfast,

I know Crystal Palace had them because I was eating them and they were delicious. This was Thanksgiving time this year! :goodvibes

My daughter has had frequent dinners that have been nothing but strawberries from the fruit plate at a buffet. Biergarten, Boma, Crystal Palace.....its a point of contention between my daughter and my husband.

We were there 11/18-11/26 and there was strawberries. We saw them at Old Port Royale, and on some creme brule'.

I had a fantastic sugar-free dessert at the Turf Club at SSR almost every night.

It was sugar-free yellow cake cut in cubes layered with sliced strawberries and sugar-free cream.... it was de-li-cious.

Wow we find them everywhere! In tarts at the bakeries in Epcot, in sundaes at Ghiradelli and Beaches and Cream, in the fruit carts throughout the parks and CS options in the resorts, in drinks (which is most important!) and in all the fruit salads I have ordered at the TS breakfasts

I love Strawberries and find them eveywhere. Idk you couldn't find them.

We had big strawberries at Crystal Palace lunch last week. DD ate a ton of them.

The Plaza in MK has a yummy grilled chicken and strawberry salad!

We had dinner in Kona at the Poly village, and I had a coconut chicken filet with a strawberry salad. It was just wonderful. The chicken was a bit dry, but the strawberry salad was the nicest salad I've ever had.

I've found that if you politely ask for a bowl of fruit (strawberries, raspberries, whatever) that the better WDW restaurants will try to accomodate your wishes. I do this frequently, even though a bowl of fruit isn't on the dessert menu, and have never been left wanting. Also, raspberries are extra heavenly when dipped in ameretto! :rotfl:

Never thought to ask for strawberries in particular....thanks for the suggestion. If they have them I guess it wouldn't be a huge deal for me to request them!

As far as counter service or the fruit carts in the parks....I haven't found strawberries at these locations in oh...probably 4 years or so. We go in January too which someone mentioned is strawberry season. I would pay a premium to have them available as a quick snack so I sure hope they start to offer them again!!

Two years ago my husband and I shared a bowl of cut strawberries at the Main Street Bakery. Of course we were also sharing a cinnamon roll.. Had to have something healthy to go along with our treat.:rolleyes1
