Whew! I am no planner, to be honest, I am more of strategist. But I do love Disney. What motivates me to break down & do the detailed planning that is needed is the idea that I am spending all this money (no matter how much), I want to make sure I get the most fun & best experience possible.
Like many of you, I have read several versions of various guidebooks cover to cover, that was not enough, that is why I am here.
My family loves their WDW vacation (or any other vacation), but when I ask them: This resort, or that one? This restaurant, or that one? - I don't always get much back! I know, though, that it is just because for some reason it does not seem as real to them until they are there.
DH did say to me recently that he likes it when I talk about different parts of it (which I do almost daily, I do try to control myself) because it makes it more real and more fun and everybody starts to get excited. He is the type that will grump & grouse about all the effort for a holiday, but if we don't make the effort he is the most disappointed.
The good thing is that now my 3 daughters are now all old enough to either make their own plans, or help me make mine, and we talk about our plans regularly. That part is fun.
For this trip I am dragging my mother to WDW, & I plan on spreading the magic somehow throughout my extended family one way or another. I have a really big family so clearly this will entail years & years of research, trips, discussion, trips....
