Why Doesn't Disney Do Princess-Themed Rooms?

I've never heard of one if there is one. They have Nemo and Pirates rooms though. Anybody have any ideas???:confused3

They have them at the Disneyland resort, at the Disneyland Hotel. They are for kids, adjacent to "standard rooms". They are meant for families. The kids stay in the "Princess Quarters". They have "Mickey's Quarters" rooms for boys. The rooms have two twin beds, and furniture and decorations for kids, all themed either to princesses or Mickey mouse. They're really cute! :thumbsup2

But, they're pricey! Cost is around $600-700 for these "room types". It IS two rooms, sort of like a suite, but still...

Wow we were at the DH in Feb. and didn't know that they had princess rooms! Although, we won a standard room anyway.

Wonder why WDW doesn't have any Princess rooms or do they?

maybe it's to balance out the princess character type meals?:confused3 Plus, CBR is a tropical theme, the islands...makes sense to have reneovateed rooms with the pirate theme, nemo theme. Mybe the next time they re-do ASMO they will do more character specific rooms. Anything to bring in more $!;)

Well, the Nemo rooms were only added in summer 2008, and pirate rooms in winter/spring 2009. Disney still has time to create princess rooms if they want to.

My concern - I don't know where they would fit thematically (I don't think princess rooms make sense at any of the resorts).

Ok, where's the nemo rooms?? I can't believe I didn't know about them??

I would think they would stick to "unisex" themes, that appeal to either boys or girls. Nemo is like that, and in my mind, so are pirates. (my daughter loves pirates, your mileage might vary.)

If they did have Princess themed rooms, I would imagine the demand for them would be insane. And I can imagine the uproar from parents who did not get to book a princess themed room! They could always finish the abandoned Legendary Years hotel, slap pink paint all over it and princess decorations.

I would think that demand is a good thing for Disney, they've thrived on it so far! :lmao:

if they added some Princess themed rooms I would book one for sure when we take our nieces, doesnt matter which resort that is where we would stay

I would try a new resort for a princess themed room - I would only decline if they did them at ASMO. My DD5 would love a Belle room.

Couldn't you call the GF a princess themed hotel from top to bottom?:goodvibes

hehe..I would love to be able to stay at the GF...but I can't justify spendng that much money just for a hotel room. Ah well, one of these days! :lmao:

maybe it's to balance out the princess character type meals?:confused3

I would hope this is the reason, but I doubt it. They could easily create a meal with the presence of human male characters if they wanted.....unless they have a difficult time rounding up that many handsome guys in one place.

the only thing i know for sure is there are princess themed condos at Windsor Hills and they arent too bad in price. I had booked it a few months ago but after free dining came out we realized we were better off staying onsite at the monorail hotel, much much easier with the kids and my other kid DH
