Why does UK get free dining?

Maybe it's deluxe they can't upgrade to. I thought I saw that British customers couldn't upgrade free dining.

Deluxe can be upgraded from the regular DDP, not from QSDP! DDP to Deluxe is 20 pounds per person!

I think, though, you in the UK have an easier time touring Europe and etc. We don't get the cheap airfare to those areas. I have a friend in London. She and her husband are constantly driving/flying/taking the train Paris, Italy, Dubai, South Africa....cannot stand looking at her facebook it's so depressing.

It's not as easy and cheap as you think! It is as easy as is travelling the US is for you, prices for airfares are far higher here!
We travel quite a bit too, but it costs as much as € 1200,- for a 3 night weekend to fly to DLRP, with the smallest rental car in Paris and a hotel room (no food)! At least that is what we paid last October.
My friend who lives in Buffalo flies to WDW for $69,- one way! I wish there were an offer like this here!

No, it is not. Most of us Europeans can use it! It is NOT open for US citizens though - you have your own Disney Travel Company (that's what I was told when I tried to get the deal for my US friends and we were not able to book OKW (with 48% off and Free DDP) for them.)

Disney is making a business decision...

$2700 for a 2 weeks stay in SSR with tickets and free dining for UK customers - they are not making money off the airfare or the food, so all I can say is that you English must be buying a heck of a lot of souvenirs to make up the difference that we Americans would have to pay for that same deal.

Yeah, we got 14 nights SSR with DDP and 14 day tickets for £1800 for August

that is almost my exact cost for 10 days in august at POP with basic dining... after my 20% off pin.
That is an amazing deal.

Us Americans can only get one promotion too .... You guys get a percentage off rooms and Free dinning....hmmmmm now whos getting the better deal and in one of the posts someone is staying 21 nights at Disney ... Lets see yeah you guys are lucky....

The only percentage off is for OKW and SSR, making them cheaper than most moderates.
Still a great deal tho.
BTW the prices I'm quoting for what we paid are for two adults no kids

Even if you had a child, they would only add about $400 to your cost. That's awesome that you can stay at SSR for less than we can stay value.

How about not crying over it and letting Disney and there $44B market cap decide how to run their company.

Disney dangles Free Dining all the time and it amounts to $40/day for an adult and $12/day for a child. The cost for our 6 days w/ DDP 3a1k last year was around $800. Sucker consumers think this is the best time to book but its the worst: THE CROWDS ARE TOO HUGE!

Avoid free dining, ignore the sucker deals, don't begrudge anyone that is trying to save a few bucks on what should be the best vacation ever.

the deal has already been out for sometime, the free ddp is offering 2 snacks per day, but check out the uk boards, complete orlando have it

Hawaii is probably not a key target market for WDW whereas UK is. Any company will target it's promotions at its key markets. Unfortunately for your friend!

Seriously, I love running into Brits in WDW. They are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. So what if they get F/D? Sometimes that's just life. You all should be thankful that you even get to go to WDW! Remember some people will never go and are in dire straights. Everyone should count their blessings instead of worrying about what others get!

Heck I really think they should get more incentive to come here so I can listen to them talk all day
