Why does the DDP say "per night" in it's description?

I was just reading the description for the dining plans and they keep saying "per night" like "2 snacks per person per night and 2 quick service meals per person, per night" Does this mean you can only use your plan at night??:confused3

It means that you count your plan by the nights that you are staying, not by the days- For instance, your vacation is 7 days 6 nights; you get your credits based on the # of nights. You can use your credits at anytime during that stay from the time you check in, until 11:59 pm the day you check out.

A 10 day package has 9 nights. They want to make it clear that the number of meals is tied to the number of nights you are paying for.

9 nights means meal credits for 9 full days, not 10.

They can be used from when you check in to midnight of the day you check out.

No they say per night because the dining plan is based on the number of nights you stay at a Disney resort. You can use your dining plan any time. You must use all credits by midnight of the night you check out of your resort though.

No - you can use the credits at any time of the day or night that you choose. They specify it that way to allow you to properly calculate exactly how many credits you will have for your trip. For example, if I am staying for a 'week long stay' and arrive on Saturday and then leave on the following Saturday - it is actually 8 days that I am on WDW property, however, I have only stayed for 7 NIGHTS at the resort. So you are only paying for the DP for 7 nights but you also only get 2 quick service credits per NIGHT per person, NOT per day that you're actually there.

Happy planning!

If you are on the regular dining plan and you book your resort stay for 7 nights and 8 days, you will receive 7 TS, 7 CS and 7 snacks per person - not 8. The amount of credits you receive is calculated according to the number of nights you stay at your resort, not days.

You may use your credits at any time between the moment you check in and midnight AFTER you have checked out.

A lot of guests assume they receive dining credits for each DAY they spend in the parks - that is not the case. All dining credits are calculated according to how many nights you spend at the resort.
