My 2 mo old Princess got me up at 6, when she finished her bottle she went back to sleep and I stayed up. It is now 7 and I hear my 6 yo. I don't want him up this early!!! He doesn't need to be up for another hour!

He has ALWAYS been an early riser....payback is coming. When he is 16 and won't get up...WATCH OUT!!!!!!!!

So much for my DIS'ing in peace...ah here he is, lurking by me.

My boys have to get up early for school during the week, but on the weekend, when they CAN sleep in (and I WANT to sleep in! :teeth: ) they are up at the crack of dawn! I hate that!!

My youngest does that. On weekends she'll be up watching cartoons or on the computer early in the morning. On school days she'll be protesting no matter what time I get her up. lol

Ho, boy, you would NOT want to live in my house! I had to make a rule that my boys cannot leave their rooms until 6am....this was created the morning their arguing over what to watch on TV at 4:30am woke me up. They have both always been early risers. Like you, I am longing for the day when I have to roust them for school!!!

Oh, the other rule....let Mommy sleep until 7am on the weekends. Yeah, that's sleeping in for me. Pretty sad. LOL

My ds will sleep until 9 if I let him. My dd will sleep until noon or 1 if I let her.;) They've always been late risers.:teeth:

Ugggh! 6:00a.m. every morn, we are all up, It is about a 40 minute drive to dd school and she has to be in her desk at 7:50, so even when the weekend comes it is early rise for all.:D

I am right there with you!!! My youngest dd now 6 is an early riser since birth. We call her our alarm clock. Normally she doesn't sleep past 6am EVERYDAY...but lately she has been rising at 5:45am, ugh. Oh and she wants her breakfast right away. She better marry a morning person.

The Mystery Machine-My 6 yo HAS to have his breakfast right away. It's so annoying! I told him that he is old enough to get his cereal by himself but he refuses...he likes torturing us!

Bedknobbery2-This early rising DS has always been that way...I've seen more sunrises in his short life than in all my years!

Dizneenut-Weekends, he is up early too! I hate that.

BTW-It's 4:05 pm and I am so tired, I could go to sleep right now! Only 4 hours until bedtime....yahoo!

Enjoy him while he is young, life flys by before our eyes and they become young men and then you know what happens, they get married and you lose a son. I better shut up, my son is 20.

I have a night owl, and an early riser. Which is a PITA because the one is hard to get to bed at night, the other wakes us all up at the crack of dawn. Of course, I am an early riser too, but it would be nice to sleep past 6am if I wanted to.

And I don't know about your son, Pembo, but my early riser wakes up early no matter what time he goes to bed. So there is no sense in letting him stay up later because he'll be up at 6am no matter what.

I have always been an early riser! I learned at an early age just to keep quite and I could read and read and read!!! Love to read!! {{{HUGS}}}} to you!

Yes Snoopy my early riser is up early no matter how late he goes to bed! Always has been that way. We learned long ago to put him to bed earlier if he needs to catch up on his sleep.

I'm so tired..............................need some:Pinkbounc

My DDs (2 and 5) are early risers. We have a rule now that the older one can tell time, that it has to be 7 AM before they can come wake me up. If they come before this, I take them back to bed. Of course they don't go back to sleep but it does encourage them to play by themselves until 7.

One tip: DON'T FEED THEM FIRST THING! This trains their bodies to expect food that early and will actually cause them to wake early.
