Why does everyone like the sail away party so much?

We were told the confetti was a definite no-no.

Are you talking about bringing your own confetti? They already shoot off confetti at the party...like I said in my post on this thread...we've helped them release the confetti.

I guess I'm just confused.

The poster was talking about brining her own confettie and that was a no no!!!

We love sailaway party even after 10 DCL cruises it still gives me chills....it means you are really there and ready to have a great time!!!

Here is some pics of the sailaway...we also found that Deck 10 looking straight at the stage was a great place to all that was going on and to get some great shots!!!

Ahhh! Now it all makes sense! ;)

Great pics MJ, btw!

It's a nice get together but after isn't a priority to us unless we have a large group of DIS'ers to meet. I like to get my massage done during that time and just kick back!

Thats what I did last cruise....I actually went to leave my mom and daughter off at the deck party on my way to get a massage but it was really crowded and a little over whelming for my 2 year old so they went back to the room. Maybe this time I will try her out at it again.

The sail away party always signals the offical start of things for us!

This is also true for Michael. He didn't like the crowds or the loud noise. My big gripe was the adults who pushed in front of the children to "see and be seen". What's the big deal if you let a little kid stand in front of you to see what's going on??? A little courtesy goes a long way!
