I was trying to blow out my tealight and knocked it and some of my tart onto the living room table. Of course it dried right away! :guilty: I just tried spraying some cleaner and wiping it/scraping it but there are still some marks. Any ideas on how to get this off? Thanks!

It doesn't dry so much as cool, wax is only liquid when it's really hot.

Try a paper towel that's damp with really hot water. The heat should help melt the leftover wax and get it up.

This worked with getting it off my wall, same thing, bumped a tart. Heated up a cup of water in the microwave almost to boiling point and kept dipping and wiping.

You could also try freezing and chipping since it's on wood...a boo boo pooh might work (a dry frozen stuffed animal for baby bumps you keep in the freezer).

Good Luck!

At Michael's craft store, in the candles and candle making aisle, they have this solution called Candle Wax Lifter by Goo-Gone. You put it on dried wax, let sit a bit and scrape it off w/the built in scraper. It does not harm wood. I have used in numerous times with great success. I think I paid about $4.99 for the bottle - definitely worth it!!!
