Why do you want VMK to stay open?

I want it to stay open, because of my friends, and the magic, everytime I log on. It feels just like when I first joined, the first time, or the very first few times I logged on. I was always so happy to go to my room, and build a cafe out of my Mark Twain room, or a mini hotel. Just like with my friends. I would always hang out and talk. I don't want that to stop, EVER. Disney, why are you doing this? So many players are willing to pay to play. You're destroying children's lives. Children are probably the key to your success. Without them, you would be NOTHING. Kid's probably are the ones who drag or annoy their parents to take them to Disneyland/Disney World/whatever. You have made many kid's cry, already, (I bet) and you're taking away the friendships they've had. Most of us came on here to get away from the real life, where there were terrible things happening, and others would make fun of us for our looks, or likes, etc. I don't know why you have to do this, but for whatever reason, it's stupid. You've let many people down. I thought you were supposed to make magic, not destroy it.

I agree with everything Mike just said. I would also like to add that so many people are saying VMK is one of the safest sites on the internet for kids, and it's also very fun to play, so why isn't Disney proud to be in charge of it? If they advertised VMK even half as much as they do for Pirates or Toontown it could easily be one of the most popular games of its type.

Stop being stupid, Disney.

Your soooo right! I never thought about it, because we are always hearing about how Staff never do anything about misbehaving players, but have we ever heard about anything bad outside of the game from it? I don't think so.

Edit: Hey Waffles!

I will now lol. It's gonna be my first letter. Where do I send it in to? @_@

  • My Friends I see on VMK all the time
  • It's Disney
  • My new Friends
  • Magic
  • Friends I have not met yet
  • Clothing
  • I can build rides for other people to enjoy
  • This is as close as I an get to visiting WDW between trips
  • Friends
  • It is safe for my entire family
  • Hosts
  • My friends I do not get to see enough
  • We are cute in VMK (as opposed to being a fat penguine, ugly pirate or goofy toon)
  • Sweet kids like Princessmadiro can do things in VMK that they are not able to do in everyday life
  • In VMK, we are still people. This means that kids who had a hard day at school or who might be shy or easily intimidated can get on VMK and be a kid like all others and hang out with other people without feeling shy or left out
  • My friends in VMK are so special to me

Hehe. I really wish they didn't have to make the decision to close VMK at all.. :( Positive Thoughts!

We live far from the Parks but try to visit Disney at least twice a year. Nothing can compare with that magical feeling of stepping inside the Park and forgetting all your cares and woes. In real life I suffer from depression and anxiety, but once I'm inside the Park, I feel secure and happy. Playing VMK gives me a similar feeling, I can experience on a daily basis. I am not a game player, but I like to talk with people, and I love to shop for all things Disney. VMK is my little escape from every day worries.

I understand that Disney is a corporation that needs to make money, and I have never begrudged them a cent of mine. I also know that Disney works to help within the community; raising money for charity, and working with the Make-a-Wish program to make children's dreams come true. I guess that's why I have such a hard time accepting that Disney will really let this VMK community just disappear, with just a few polite apologies for doing so. There is a heart somewhere in that big Disney conglomerate, I hope that we can seek it out and tug at it.

I copied some of our lists of reasons from this topic and mailed them in to WDIG.

My other idea that I came up with earlier today is to get ahold of those lawyers who sued McDonald's for having hot coffee. Those lawyers can do ANYTHING. :rotfl:

Hah! I Remember that!

Things I will miss if VMK closes, in no particular order:

:) All of the wonderful friends I've made, some of whom I will never be able to speak to again, if the game closes

:) Having a little slice of Disney waiting for me after a stressful day at uni

:) Spending hours in someone's room, talking about nothing and losing track of the time

:) Reliving my miss-spent youth building dens, tree houses and hide-aways

:) Random acts of kindness performed by guests

:) The sense of community

:) Playing ghosts for hours on end (and adding my own sound effects :rotfl:)

:) Building places for people to come and enjoy themselves

:) Singing the Lag Song ;)
