Why do you stay off site?

ITA with the money and the space. The military rates offered through SoG can't even compare to the rates through AFVC. Given the choice between a 2-bed, 2-bath resort for $35 a night or the same from the All Stars... I'd pick off, every time. And I was raised in the Polynesian! :p

I hated being forced to share a bed with my sisters at the Poly. And waiting for my turn on the day bed. The resort I go to now has a room with a king bed, a room with two doubles and a pull out couches. No more sharing!! And I won't have to pay for a deluxe resort to fit my family if I have three kids.

I've never minded driving because the summer I worked there, I drove all the time. Last November, I dropped off everyone after the bachelorette party, and it took me much longer to drop off those staying at the All Stars than it did to get back to my own hotel from the Contemporary. It was on 192 in Kissimmee.

If I could afford to, and my kids were a little bigger (7 1/2 & almost 4 at time of travel), I would consider staying on-site. But, my guys go to bed a little too early for us. We just stayed overnight at a hotel and my husband and I had to go to bed way too early for us. So, having their own room is going to be great. We are planning on staying at Marriott's Cypress Harbour in October and am looking forward to it. I don't mind cooking, but on vacation it will be minimal. And just think how much faster you can get out to the parks if you don't have to "go" to a restaurant for breakfast, never mind cheaper. And, the laundry is going to be great. I will only bring half of what I would've if staying at a regular hotel. To stay in a hotel "room" for 7 nights is not my idea of relaxing and enjoyment. I know everyone says, "You're not in the room that much", but if it rains or just some down time is much easier in a villa than in a hotel room. Just my view on this situation. Who wouldn't like to be pampered on vacation?
