Today I received an e-mail from my cousin asking me why I liked Disney
World. She and her DH just spent two weeks in Orlando and visited the attractions. They did not like MK.
They thought it was just dumb---a kids park.
I tried to think why I like it but I could not find the words. It is so special. When we walk into any of the parks I feel as though I am in another world.
She's never had good taste anyway!
So, why do you like MK?

Because it makes me feel carefree and happy... why or how I don't know... but it sure does :)

two words- the MAGIC!!! there is just nothing like it. can't wait to show it to aunt lissa (my little sister) and her 2 kids!!!

I really dont know why, I wish I loved a cheaper place

Having grown up going to MK probably has a lot to do with why I enjoy MK. I don't think I would see things like Peter Pan's Flight, the Character shows, or the Country Bear Jamboree in the same way that I do know if I had not grown up with them. They just seem so nostalgic and bring back memories.

I like the atmosphere. I don't have to rush and I can't run out of things to see and do, and that's never even leaving the property. My wife says I turn into a completely different person when I'm there.

Because it's magical, it's fun, there's so much to do, and I can escape reality for a short time. Plus I love being there with my family, and soaking up the looks on my kid's faces as they discover their favorite Disney things. I just love it and I always have...(well, my first love is DL, but it's the same magic).

It's fun, and it's the only place I go where I actually forget EVERYTHING about daily life!! :teeth:

I truly feel like I am not in the 'real world' there, removed from the hustle bustle of everyday. People are kinder, treat you nicely. Many of the things there are quite 'hokey', for lack of a better word, but just so nice, so 'Disney'.

I truly think that to appreciate the place, at a level that most of us do here, you do have to have something in your makeup that lets you see it for what they are trying to have you see it as, a magical place to be a kid.

Disney World is magical! It is a place where I know I can always be happy. A place where there is always something new to see or do.

I've done Disney alone, with my mom (when she was alive) and with my DH. There are so many wonderful memories there and I love going back year after year to relive those memories and to make new ones!

It's a feeling I get when I'm there. It's like being in another world. The worries and cares of day to day life seem to disappear while I'm at WDW. I agree that everyone seems nicer in WDW.

to echo the recurring sentiment....it's the magic......but if you don't "get" the magic, you won't understand...your poor cousin...I feel sorry for them....

What everyone else said. :teeth:

Very Very MAGICAL!!! ::yes::

I feel so disconnected with the rest of the real world. I have vacationed many places and I feel real safe at WDW. If I could go for every vacation I would!

I love everything about it - the atmosphere, the rides, the shows, the characters.... I love watching how excited my family gets to see everything. It is a wonderful place for creating wonderful memories!
