My hubby knows to be honest with me and I don't go ballistic on him.
Using the term "flattering" or "not flattering is sufficient.
I will usually ask if something looks good--i.e. is it flattering, do the colors complement, or whatever.
While I don't have the best wardrobe..I am pretty good usually for dressing for my shape and sometimes cannot tell if something just doesn't look right.
So for me--I really do want to know if I look good.
I'm very much the same as all you said there. I am rather curvy and have a shape that not all designers cater to. So I ask and expect an honest answer.
Of course my DH isn't cruel and just says if it looks good or not. It's not about me as much as it is about the clothes and how they fit/lay on me.
because most of us are really insecure deep down and want to hear how good we look??????????
I ask because I am sometimes fashion challenged and really want an honest answer. I want an honest but not a brutal answer. Tell me you like the black pants better than the tan ones. Don't tell me that the tan pants make me look like a mac truck backing up!!!
I've always wanted to know the answer to this. I've NEVER asked anyone how I look. I depend on my own opinion and I guess the rest of the world just has to deal with looking at me!
