Why do people do such stupid things?!

Less than a year ago I got my first ever brand new car (red vauxhall corsa life cdti) and as you can imagine I am really proud of it with me being the first owner. So you can guess how I feel today when I have discovered that some idiot has broke off my aerial and tried to use it to break into my car (there was nothing in it) and in the process they have scratched two of my doors. Why do people do these things? :confused3

 Sorry to hear about your car. Sadly there are some mindless idiots around  I hope it doesn't cost too much to put it right

Aww I'm sorry :-( hope it doesn't cost too much to repair

Oh no that's awful and can imagine how you feel. Some people have no respect for other peoples property.

I am such a car junky and love getting new cars.:thumbsup2

That is terrible i hope you can get it sorted

Good choice in car though :D I have a black corsa energy and would hate any thing to happen to mine

It is so annoying and frustrating - especially to those of us who live a decent life and work hard for the things we have - when these things happen.
It's just an unfortunate fact of life that there are jerks around who feel that the world owes them a living, and they have a right to just help themselves to what we have worked tirelessly for.
To add to the problem the judicial system in this country is so weak that it isn't seen as a deterant, and until we bring back the birch and conscription these 'people' will continue to act the way they do.

Sorry to hear about your car:hug:

Thanks everyone :thumbsup2,

I know really when you put it in perspective its not that big a deal and much worse things happen to people but it is upsetting. Can't get on the property ladder at the moment and living at home with my parents gets me down quite a bit so the car kind of boosts my self esteem I suppose and to see that someone has been so selfish and stupid just really bugs me! I will get the aerial fixed for about £30 but the scratches are just going to have to stay for the time being. I had a minor bump in the work car park with my first car and when I got those scratches fixed it cost me £350 and I was in my first year at uni at the time so I'll never forget how I felt parting with that money :scared1:. This time I will get it sorted eventually but I'll have to put some money aside.

My parents house is in a nice area but there is always trouble with car crime. Its clearly the same people from the type of way they break in and time of year they strike but the police never get to the bottom of it. A car at the top of the road was totally smashed in :sad2:. Hope they are caught but as others have said, what difference does it make?

But thanks for the support and for listening to my rant :goodvibes.

Really sorry to hear about your car. I had my first new car two years ago and was working as a care assistant going from house to house. I came out of one clients house only to find someone had keyed my new black car. I was furious and my works reaction was ' well that's what you've got insurance for'. Needless to say. I no longer work for them.

Sorry to hear about your car. I hope you can just believe that in the long run 'what goes around comes around', although you may never get to see it. That person probably will not have good things happen in their life and you will. :grouphug:

I can remember clearly standing in the road crying when some mindless idiots had badly scratched my first car.

I used to have a black Corsa Sport - nice little cars.:)

How awful! Some people have no idea how hard people work to afford nice things - and a car is a major thing! :headache:

I hope you manage to save enough up soon to get those scratches removed.

I was bad enough in the middle of last year when some idiots decided it would be funny to remove my ariel off mine and pinch it, this happened four times in the space of a month, in the end, I went back to my car dealer and bought another one. Which now gets removed each night to stop me having to pay out for another one. It's such a pain

Thankyou for your lovely comments, you have all been so sweet and understanding :goodvibes.

Apparently, and I don't know if this is true, Halfords fix scratches for £50! I will be looking into that!

Yes, have to admit the Corsa is pretty zippy. It really reminds me of the red one in the stunt car show at DHS. Except it is not quite as noisy!

The local garage that I use for my husband's car sent me to someone who resprayed the whole door for £100 so I never claimed on my insurance in the end.
Hope you manage to get it fixed ok.

That's awful there really are soem scumbags out there. I hope you get it sorted
