Why do old people tell you things they shouldn't?(vent)WARNING***TMI

Why do older people think that it is okay to tell you about when they go to the bathroom in their pants? My mom used to get so irritated with my grandmother when she would tell us about my grandfather wetting his pants. Now, she tells me EVERYTIME that she goes in her pants. She is really only 69(not really old to me) but you would think she is 90 if you met her. She does have medical issues but I really don't want to know how many times she wets her pants or the other either. I really wish I could say, "Do you remember when you got ill with nanny when she told us about papa wetting his pants? Well, that is how you are making me feel." I really do feel bad for her that this happens but she knows with her condition that it is going to happen. She wears a Depends sometimes but doesn't at others. If I thought there was a possibility of this happening I would wear one all the time.
Sorry so long. I just had to vent.

Wow, she is so young, why in Gods name would she want to tell people, that is something very private. maybe she is looking for sympathy? My dad is going on 86 and has colitis so he wears depends, yes he tells me he wears the cause I clip coupons for him but he doesn't tell me when he soils them.

Unless your Grandma lives with you is it really that often you have to hear about her accidents? Guessing you are young, but God willing we all may have to face some health issues at some point. Try a little more compassion.
