Why do I do this??

Today in the checkout aisle, I was standing there waiting and my gaze happened to fall upon a bag of spicy beef jerky. My mind started to wander, and I thought about how much I love fresh, spicy jerky at fairs and the like. So of course, I pick up the bag and toss it on the belt, knowing full well that bagged, store bought jerky is NOT the same as the fresh stuff! It is actually pretty gross, and I know I don't like it??

So why, every few months or so, do I decide that this time will be different?
