If you ever want to see a good reason why timeshares should expire, look no further than
Club Land’or on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
Land’or is surrounded on all sides by Atlantis, but doesn’t have access to Atlantis’ amenities. They have some sort-of access agreement that lets Land’or guests cross some part of Atlantis’ property to get to the beach, but that’s it.
Plus the owners of Land’or (which I think has a perpetual right-to-use system) charge the maximum dues allowed every year, but they don’t put that money back into the property, and
occasionally skip paying the employees.
If you love late 60’s architecture, vinyl accordion divider walls, window unit AC, and a pool the size of your next-door-neighbor’s (though with 50 other families sharing it), then this is the place for you.
