Why do counter service locations & Resort shops charge different prices for Beer?

Maybe it's just the Contemporary that does this but the Sundries shop charges less for Beer then the Food & Fun Center. So I am wondering how is that one place charges one price & another place charges a different price when they are in the same hotel? Also does the same thing happen at other WDW Resorts?

I don't know. But, I'll be looking for the cheaper beer you can on that!

The sundries shop is under merchandising department while the F&FC is under food and beverage departments. Once you have dealt with Disney a lot you know it is a giant bureaucracy and very rarely does one department talk to another.
