Why Disney World Stinks....

Yes, I was just thinking yesterday that I am already depressed that we have to come home and we haven't even left yet and when we do get home we're going right back in August, but still :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc - not happy.

And I am happy with my life, really, really. Still, there must be an unmet need someplace - maybe for someplace to just have FUN!

:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

My trip isn't until December, and can I tell you...I have already said to my DH , when can we go back? He says,"Every 2 years-he is one of those people who just doesn't "get it". But I understand :guilty:...so I am checking out places for 2007( daughter will be out of a crib, no more 4+1 in most rooms)...so when do the 2007 rates come out :confused3 ?Just kidding ;) !

I get back from DW and I have to flush my own toilet :snooty: No faucets that automatically work. :o I tried to use my dining card and the server looked at me like I was from outer space :earseek: I woke up the first morning and thought I heard a bus and my first thought was, I gotta get going to catch the bus to the parks. :rotfl: I am counting the years when I can take the grandboys. May of 2007 is just toooo far away :(

I agree with all of you, I'm hooked also. 13 days to go. :Pinkbounc

Here I am, back only 3 days from a 2-week trip....suitcases all over the living floor, kids pulling stuff out of them...a real major mess. What am I doing? Am I unpacking? Am I doing all the laundry and putting away souvenirs? Am I paying that car payment that DH forgot to do while we were gone? Nope, I'm sitting here on the DIS board scheming how to get back to WDW as soon as possible! Every time my DH sends me and the kids down, he thinks, "There, now she'll get it out of her system for awhile." All it does is make me want more, more, MORE!!! :rotfl2:

We tried to not go this year--Really --We did!! We hadn't paid off the credit card from when we went last year and had swore we wouldn't go back until it was paid.

Then we opened the Sunday paper and saw FREE DINING!!!!!!!! There's no way in the world to pass it up !! NOT FAIR!!! We booked it within 10 minutes.

Now not only do we have to finish paying for 2004 disney but now we have added 2005 disney also..

I vow UPON MY LIFE we are not going in2006!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(unless....)

1- They make going such a good deal that there's is no way you can pass it up ( free dining !) :cool1:

2- There are so many details to work out before you go that months of your life are devoted to nothing else . :hourglass

3- You finally get to go and you have the best week of your life. :Pinkbounc

Here's the kicker:

4- THEN YOU HAVE TO GO HOME--BACK TO WORK--DEALING WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO CLUE-- HOUSE WORK-- PAYING BILLS!!!!!!

Disney world wouldn't suck nearly as bad if I never had to leave!

We've been back a week now and I'm slightly depressed as you probably noticed!

Uh, ditto... especially the last sentence. LOL I always wonder HOW time flies so fast while we're there. It seems like the months before the trip just crawl crawl crawl then BLINK- and it's over and we're already home again. :(

LOL!!!!!!!!
you sound like me! (ditto on the suitcases in the livingroom. Okay actually they are duffle bags but same diff. LOL) I'm not planning another trip though (yet)- just started thinking more about the cruise coming up next year.

I feel so welcomed here. All of you...you are the only ones who know how I feel. A true support group for Disneyholics. No one at work knows how I feel, what I go through. They say it's for kids. I say, "Oh, you haven't been there". I don't have any children but I am one when I am there. It truly is an escape from reality. I am making notes and reading and waiting for January. It's been 10 LONG years since I last wanted to chain myself to a post at POR. It's so sad, however I get depressed about leaving before I even get there! Oh, I need help. :earseek:

oooohhhhh reading all the posts is so Therapeutic. I thought I was the only one who couldn't deal with coming home from WDW. When we went on the Disney Cruise in 1987 (the old Royale...) I was crying so hard as we came into port at the end of the cruise. I didn't want it to end. After 18 trips to WDW, countless trips to DL, I told DH that I want to BUY Disney World. He thought I had lost my mind. But this year finally we got the money together to buy into DVC - so we can go to WDW every year. Looking forward to our first visit HOME next month. :) So many people we know don't get it (so sad for them) Reading the DIS boards helps me see that I'm not alone in my love for Disney - and as my little 3 yr old granddaughter says - "we go to Mickey's castle, we go now???" Yes - we go now... :goodvibes

It sounds like it may be time to plan another trip! :earboy2: I loved your post!! I can so relate.......

I bought an AP and went 5 times this year!! Every time I returned, I started planning on how & when I could go back to my favorite place. I have a husband that is not quite as crazy about WDW as I am so it takes some arm twisting - but hey - it worked 'cause we will be there for THANKSGIVING!!! :cheer2:

Cheer up & get started on another trip!! :wizard:

This post is why I love the DIS, I am here with a bunch of people who understand my affliction. While it was my DW who introduced me to WDW on our honeymoon about 25 years ago, I am the Disneyholic.

As I try to explain to her, WDW is the only place where I can go that I can forget about everything. Especially my job - which I love, but is very stressful.

Our upcoming trip is our 1st vacation w/o kids since the DD was born in 1985. It will be interesting to see how the DW reacts w/o having her babies (DD20 and DS17) around... I am sure that we'll be making nightly calls to the DS at home and DD at college. :)

DS and I have been back home exactly one week today. :flower: My DH and I just got home from Pigeon Forge, TN (anniversary weekend trip :love2: ), turned on the computer, and wouldn't you know it...SW had a DING just for us!! :earseek: So, I said, "Hey Honey, you wouldn't mind if I go to Florida in January would you?" ;). He just looked at me as if I had lost my mind and said, "You just came home last Sunday and want to go back in January? Well, You're not going without me!!" :hyper: So, DH, DS, and I will be off to the Mouse House again. :rotfl2:

The nerve of them of paying all of this money for WDW and we can't even live there for the rest of our lives.
