Why Disney Loves Frozen.

I don't find that particular kid's attitude cute....but Disney is pushing Frozen because it's making them money. End of story. (not that there's anything wrong with that)

That video has nothing to do with Frozen, it's just the hot princess of the moment. That girl's attitude isn't cute, either. My child would never get that doll if she acted like that.

Ihad no interest in seeing a fresh kid, so I skipped the video. Disney is reacting to the Fozen craze because it is making them some money, and because people are asking for more. I am not sure how long people will want to become immersed in Frozen, but if my two little Princesses are any indicator, it is going to be a while.

Not liking the 'tude on that girl! The dad seemed meek. "Please can we buy a tv instead?" Ummmm who is in charge? JK, I know it was a joke, but still.

Disney is making money hand over fist on frozen between the move, merchandise, etc. That is why the stores are full of frozen products, DHS was transformed to a frozen park, there is a frozen ride coming etc. I thought the frenzy would die down, but it seems to be going strong.

I know that a lot of people want the Frozen Phenomenon to go away, but I confess that I am hoping some of it is still going strn in August. My girls love the movie, the music and the Princesses, and I am looking forward to enjoying their reactions. I will say that there is no way my girls get rewarded for bad behavior though, so attitude gets them nothing! LOL!!!

I just can't with that little girl. Glad I have an easy kid.

Frozen is a hit because the music is catchy and fun, there are TWO princesses who have beautiful dresses, two castles, and a talking loveable snowman.

Watch the honest trailer for Frozen. It will explain everything lol.

I was a kid during the Disney Renaissance (username drop) and I seem to remember marketing being just this intense with Lion King and I loved it. I'm a voice teacher and the moment frozen came out I had to learn the songs cuz my kiddos were constantly asking to sing it. They still ask over a year later. I'm not upset, I do get bored some times, but it's better than them singing Katy Perry or Justin Beiber in regards to the messages. Kids get fixated. My example from my youth was Lion King. I had the dolls, the soundtrack, the clothes, the movies, it was even my birthday theme that year. The kids want it so let them enjoy it.

I see some of you have forgotten what happened after "The Little Mermaid". I was in college then, and still couldn't escape Ariel everywhere I looked.

Or "Beauty and the Beast" a few years later. Same thing. Music and characters were everywhere.

Nothing different with "Frozen".

they are pushing Frozen because people have let them know that they want more Frozen and will pay through the nose to see Frozen themes and buy merchandise connected with Frozen. No other reason.

I was a bit of a Lion King fanatic too. The difference is that Disney used the Lion King wisely but that's a whole other discussion that's really been beaten to death.

I think that the fuss has already died down somewhat. It's easy to get Frozen merchandise which certainly wasn't true for a while. Plus the A&E lines aren't as long even if they are still way too long.

Frozen=money press for Disney. That's why they love it so.

Disney used to have Lion King attractions in three parks. We felt a bit overwhelmed with it back in the late 90s. And the MK show was our favorite of the three, go figure it would be the one to go.

The Lion King show in AK
The Circle of Life in Epcot
Legend of the Lion King in MK ( I found this YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrfhR0Cx3WE )

I loved that legend of the lion king show! I always wondered if that was one of the inspirations for the amount of puppetry involved in the Broadway show?

I love the Honest Trailer for Frozen SO much! Especially when Anna and Prince Hans are singing, "We're gonna..." :rotfl:
