Why didn't Tinker Bell fly tonight during Wishes?

We were at the Tomorrowland Terrace dessert party tonight and looking forward to seeing Tinker Bell flying overhead during Wishes, but it didn't happen. Was it because of the holiday overlay on the castle? The cold weather (40 degrees)? Or some other reason?

How was the wind? I know they will skip Tink's flight if the wind is high.

It is not the holiday overlay---we saw Tink fly at a MVMCP in November. Was there wind? Fairies don't fly well when it is windy.

Maybe he called in sick.

He was busy doing photo sessions and couldn't fly.

I'll go with the low temperature.

Wind speed looks pretty low (under 10 mph.)

I'll second the low temps, whenever she doesn't fly it's usually for wind but she may have wanted a bonus to jump out that castle in this weather.

It could be any number of reasons. "Flying" Tink is one character that has quite a bit of control when it comes to the decision if they will fly or not. If Tink does not believe that it would be safe for them, then they do not fly.

I would also guess that it was the temps. Right now, the "feels like" temp is 29. Up on that guide wire and sliding down it would be even colder then that.

She's a Fairy and she can be a bit tempermental.

she is a pixie !! this exact thing happened to me....spent $150++ on TTDP my daughter was talking all day about it....no wind....50 degree night..no tink...so disappointed ..plus they ran out of everything (hot cocoa!!) and it took them 30 minutes to refill and get cream for the coffee, then there was no coffee when they finally brought the cream, just rows of abandoned cold cups of coffee....never again

I'm at Disney now............it is SO cold and very windy! I can't imagine how she could've flown tonight.

I've also heard that she has to get weighed each time and if she is over a limit she can't fly. I don't know how true that one is.

Never a guarantee on Tink flying. My guess was the weather - either wind or temp.

You'd think the limit was kind of high though, since sometimes TinkerBill flies...

How disappointing. We went in June and my brother went the day before us and no Tink the next day we had Tink. It was a fun experience to see her, but overall we really enjoyed the whole experience. We must have been lucky b/c they did refill things quickly and there was plenty to go around. I do think the cleaned up quickly, but we would make sure to do this on every trip.

At least Wishes goes off most nights, with very few cancellations. At DLR it's very common for the fireworks to be cancelled completely. (They have more problems with wind and are in the middle of an urban area with more restrictions). They were cancelled 2 of the 5 nights we were there in December. And I honestly can't recall the last time we have been at WDW and had them cancelled.

Not really. There are some pretty small guys out in the world who could be friends of Tink.
