Why didn't I think of this before!

I was just thinking of the themes for the month in VMK. I have a great one that I'm sure someone has thought of but why didn't I think of this sooner.

Why not have Star Wars themed month! They could have it the same month as Star Wars weekend. They could star wars themed items such as Stormtrooper helmets and stuff like that. Oh and a Yoda hat similar to stitch hat! They could even have special items only available at STar Wars weekends if you visit the parks.

Well Star Wars and Disney does have a partnership. They have Star Tours and Star Wars Weekends.

That would be completely awesome! I am a huge Star Wars fan so honestly I would say that it would be the best month ever on VMK lol!

This may be a bit tricky. While LucasFilm and Disney do have a partnership, the movies are not Disney. The movies were produced and distributed by 20th Century Fox. While I am all about Star Wars (hey I'm in a SW costuming club and have my own Stormtrooper armor for it), I doubt they would go through so much trouble of getting the rights for VMK just for a themed month.

How could you not think of this before? I would have thought this would have been one of your first ideas.
But, I tend to think like mking624 does. Although, I don't think that Fox has any rights other than the film distribution. I believe that Lucas retained all other rights to the films.

Tower of Terror is Disney's own thing. Aside from the official name being Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and a few TZ nods in the ride, the actual storyline, concept, etc, is all Disney's. The ride is not actually based off any idea from TZ, just the minds of some Imagineers. In fact, in Tokyo DisneySea, there is no connection to TZ at all..it's just called Tower of Terror. They could easily take out any TZ references and make a theme out of ToT.

Me and my friend thought about a star wars themed month while walking the track at school lol.

We had these ideas :

a New Guest Room ( inside the melenium falcon )

a New Magic, speeder bike magic Where instead of a car, a speeder bike.

Capes! They come in colors )

Light Sabers. To hold in your hand.



Although it may be a great idea. It can also cause to violence in some ways.

WE had many MANY other ideas. And i was thinking of suggesting it for VMK, but in the end. I rather not.

Disney's pretty strict about copyright policies, and the Twilight Zone is owned by NBC, so even the slightest nod to the TZ would probably be scrapped. I would ToT items though.

Which is why I said they could easily take out the Twilight Zone references. The Tower of Terror itself has no connection to TZ (as in the attraction is based off nothing that TZ ever did)...it's all a Disney concept, and therefore they can do with that as they please. The only part that does not belong to them is the "Twilight Zone" part, but they could very easily lose all connection with that....just as Tokyo DisneySea did with their Tower of Terror.
