The one you had before the one you are doing now?

I moved. That's why I left my bakery job in Colorado a LONG time ago. :cool1:

I left because of travelling time (20min walk then 40min train ride then 10min walk) and also got more £ at my new job

I had been at my last job five years. We lost our contract and it we only had about a year left before we'd be unemployed. My former boss called and told me about my current job. I interviewed, liked what I heard, and accepted. Only later did I find out that our leave policy was bad, we only get 5 days paid maternity leave, and that I would be stuck doing Admin stuff along with my other duties. BUT I still think I made the right decision to leave.

I was only working a couple days a week as a receptionist...sharing the job with the daughters owner...hours started to dwindle and I got a job (current job) at our county (government job)...just couldn't pass it up!!

I just couldn't take it anymore. DH and I met at work. His job was eventually downsized (had nothing do to with our relationship). I had a new boss that was awful and I would get sick on Sunday knowing I had to go back there on Monday. While DH was looking for a job he came across an ad for a job that he said I sounded perfect for. I updated by resume and sent it out. I got a call and the rest is history.

I left to stay home with my 2 kids (at that time). went back to work when middle DD was 18 months old. (PT nights). Quit when DD #3 was born, went back to same company when she was 8 months old. 5 years ago they reinstated my seniority so I have now been there 15 years.

I left a job in finance after having my oldest daughter.

PPD and some stuff that went on at work was the reason why.

I was to train the Village Idiot to do my job temporarily. She couldn't sit still for 10 minutes to barely even learn how to log in to the computer (NO EXAGGERATION!!). She showed up to my office one day late (she was at work but in la la land in her office). We were to start that days training. She announced she had an art project to drop off at for the Corporate art show. She was gone over 2 hours. (easily a 30 minute get it done and get back type of deal). I reported her for so many things. I was rewarded by being reassigned b/c I wasn't nice to her. Yes I was---but evidently expecting someone to listen to you and after 3 months at least be able to click one button to do one thing was considered not nice.

They told me I would have plenty of work. I couldn't fill half a day. What little they gave me was accomplished in 30 minutes.

She was fired on my maternity leave. An issue arose and she had the audacity to tell HR she wasn't properly trained. HAH! I didn't know she was on the chopping block, but HR did call me to get a detailed account of how I trained her. (I thought they were responding to complaints I had made. Little did I know it actually was unrelated--but the final straw that guaranteed her termination).

When I went back to work I was not apologized to. I came back early to save a sinking ship. The ship didn't sink and to them it was like nothing had ever happened.

On the flip side--my daughter was in day care for 6 weeks. She was on her 3rd provider in the infant room. The first one they moved, the second one was fired--and my PPD went berserk.

So I walked off the job after consulting with my doctor b/c I couldn't stop crying. :(

I am a SAHM homeschooling mom who just entered the work force via my at home computer. So far so good and hope to keep it up :)

Left my previous job for more $$ and a manager that didn't descriminate toward women.

Mine was due to downsizing. I was an underwriter but the auto finance company I worked for cut the department size way down and moved some of us to other areas. I wound up in what I call the complaint department because that's what we listened to all day long. I managed to stay for five months but then I'd had enough and I became a stay at home Mom for a while.

That's no longer an option now but that's another story.

I left my last job because I moved to Florida. I will leave my current job because I hate it.

I left the Disney Store in Nov. The manager would have tantrums..then appoligize afterwards. This was my first experience since I was young in a noncorporate enviroment. The Store & Assistant manager were horrible. I had worked 6 days in a row... I was a lead & the Store Manager had the nerve to call me & wake me up Monday morning yelling about another lead who screwed up. I'm not a morning person & gave my 2 weeks notice.

Left my last job because my boss didn't like me and made my life a living hell. I've been with my current boss 14 years now.

I told them I was pregnant and THEY FIRED ME! In hindsight, it was the best thing that ever happened to me. :)

I left my last "job" (my 5-10 hours/week job) because I was working for the company that DH worked for and I didn't want to stay there. He left his job because he was overworked (they replaced him with 3 people). I left my last real job (high school teacher) when DS13 was born.

When I interviewd, I asked if they would reimburse tuition for my MBA. When the time came, they said no. At least it was only 6 months into it. I ended up going back to my previous employer and it was the best move I could have made.

I left my last job after working 5 years on overnights. I was tired all the time.
My days and nites were all mixed up and all I wanted to do was sleep, sleep,
and sleep some more. I really loved my job though.

mine-i got sick and they (gov) decided to disability retire me.
dh-left one gov agency to work for another (not a transfer, quit and new hire) for less pay, less benefits-but it got him more firmly into his career path. should pay off when we move (much more marketable with the experiences current job have provided).
