It is bitterly cold out. I think it might get up to 10 degrees today. I agreed to stand outside for 2hours and sell Girl Scout Cookies! This is really how the troop makes lots of its money for the year but why don't we sell cookies in the spring?? I just hope lots of people brave the cold and buy some cookies from us.

Layers! Dress in lots of layers, use gloves and have lots of hot chocolate handy! Good for you for sticking by your committment. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/28/28_3_1.gif' border=0></a>

You are very supportive in agreeing to stand out there and sell them. Hopefully people will think about how cold it is and want to support someone willing to brave the cold. I know I would.::yes::

wdwnutze, PM me and tell me were you are selling them, I'll bring you a hot coffeee and buy some cookies, I don't know of anyone near me that sells them?
:D

I could have sworn when I was a Girl Scout (one million years ago) that we sold them in the spring....like April, maybe just before Easter. January is pretty much the month people are swearing off sweets......you think they'd sell better a few months later.

Well, if you lived anywhere near me and were standing out in the cold selling GS cookies, oyu can bet I'd buy a lot just to repay you for your dedication!!!!!!

Good luck, dress warm!!!!!

We did it last year on a 15 degree day. Cold, cold, cold! We were outside a convenience store and got a lot of customers. Good luck! I will be sending warm thoughts your way!

I would buy from ANYONE selling almost ANYTHING today if they were outside. Brrrrrrrrrr.

Stay warm, and layers, layers, layers

Think of it as doing the world a service. People shouldn't be deprived of THIN MINTS!:wave2:
My hats off to you.

Too bad you can't just sell them to all of us DISers. You'd sell out in a heartbeat! Dress warmly!

Krista :)

Our troop all agreed we didn't want to do booth sales. Unless you get the very first weekend they are out, booth sales are not worthwhile. The market is too saturated around here.

Were you at the WalMart in Abington??? I saw them there, and did my 'civic duty' and bought a couple boxes.

brrrrrrrrr

Well, I finished and even survived. Actually, we were very lucky and the store let us set up inside! Of course the mother and daughter that were suppose to relieve us were no shows. Our leader is so dedicated though that I didn't mind staying to cover so she didn't have to be alone. The girls will be using the money they earn for a trip to Martha's Vineyard. There wern't many buyers out there but we did ok. Debster812- I wish we were the ones at the Walmart in Abington. We would have sold a lot more cookies there. We were at Brooks in Rockland.
