Why did Disney get rid of the OLD DVD-it was soooo much better?

My kids and I have to admit, me too HATE the new Disney DVD. It isn't as good as the old one. I wished they would bring the old one back and one other thing they could improve on is showing MUCH more of the resorts or have a complete separate DVD just for the resorts and show more RECENT resort tours. Surprised they haven't done this already:confused3 Just a thought:cutie:

My DS loved the DVD with Luke and Dave on it. He still will watch it today. The 2007 and 2008 are neat in their own right. They kind of tug at your heart whereas the 2006 tries to get you in the action.

I just watched my 2008 planning DVD and thought it was a big improvement over the last one I recieved (05 maybe? possibly 06 I can't remember for sure). I don't remember the last one I watched making me want to go to disney as much as this one did, maybe I'm just in a disney mood though? I need to go back and find my old one and watch it. Either way, I agree they need to spend more time on the resorts, that's what I love to watch.

I agree, I was disappointed with the planning DVD. They show just a little bit of each resort and it seems as if they use the same clips year after year. They should definitely expand on the resort footage. If I was someone deciding between staying on-site or off-site, and was using the planning DVD, I would probably decide to go off-site. The DVD spends only a small fraction of time at each resort and the use of the quick timing between scenes is annoying!!
:sad2:
