the assistance from foreign countries before assessing the devestation? It seems kind of arrogant.

I'm so glad the decision to accept assistance was rescinded.

Ego. He thinks he's doing a great job. If he accepted help from Cuba (physicians and money) or Venezuela (money and medical assistance), he would look even more incompetent than he is. Maybe he didn't get to talk to Karl Rove before he opened his mouth.
