Okay I really need to get a reservation in but I just can't decide and since I have never been it is just to hard too make a decision.. So would you guys help me please??? Here is what I am considering..

5 Nights POP/4 Night POFO

or

9 Nights POFQ

There is a $30.00 diff. per night between the POP & POFQ but the money isn't really a big factor. What I want most is a fun pool, quick transportation to the parks and a nice resort.. The POP resort looks bright and fun and my kids would really like it I think. POFQ looks beautiful and relaxing for us adults but has a great looking pool.. What would you recommend for a first timer?? Does maybe one of the other Mod resorts have what I am looking for also??? Thanks so much! :earsboy:

Personally, I love Port Orleans. I would definitely choose it over Pop. Port Orleans is definitely more relaxing for adults, but I think that kids love it too. The pools are great!! You can use the pool at FQ even if you stay in the Riverside portion (I actually prefer Riverside) so you are actually getting two resorts in one (in fact, they actually used to be two different resorts-- Port Orleans Riverside was formerly called Dixie Landings). There are also "watering holes" for fishing, etc. I think it is a really fun place for kids. Plus, you can take a boat to Downtown Disney which is so nice!

I'm sure that you will have fun no matter where you stay, but I'd go with Port Orleans for the whole trip. If you do decide to split the trip between both resorts, definitely do Pop first as it is often hard to "move down".

I'd probably go w/the 9 night at POFQ...I just don't like having to switch resorts.

POFQ for all 9 nights. I stayed at POP and POFQ on my last trip and I much preferred POFQ. It has everything you want plus you don't have to change resorts.

POFQ all the way. If money is not a factor then choose one resort & don't move. we have split resorts before & it is nice try 2 different resort but it does take away from Disney time.

I agree, 9 nights at POFQ. Transportation is good, pool is themed, boat to DD, sister resort (10-15 walk down the river) to POR so you can use there pool and amenities and they also have a sit down restaurant (Boatwrights). I don't like switiching resorts either.

doodlebug,

I am sure whatever you choose you will have a good time.

Thanks guys!! I have been leaning more toward the POFQ but wanted to hear what others that have done the split thing before have done...

So transportation to all the parks is pretty good from POFQ. I am so use to going to Disneyland and just walking a short distance from the DLH to the parks and not having to ride buses.... Do buses for each of the parks come and go in front of the hotel???
