i don't understand the point model. it only cost 12 points to stay in a studio at the wilderness vacation club.

but 22 to say a the wilderness hotel?

also if you do book a night a the resorts do you get a nice room or just a standard two queen size beds?

( the are no floor plan listed for the resorts room in the DCV book)

thanks

The extra points are to pay for daily mousekeeping.

wow those mousekeepers are expensive!

but the rooms are just the two queen size beds?

The room categories are listed in the member guidebook on the points chart. You can get standard view all the way up to concierge.

The charge extra because DVC has to rent out your points at the DVC resort to pay the WDW hotel for your stay.

The point situation is set up so you will stay at a DVC resort with your membership. FW is not a DVC resort while VFW are. Staying inside the club to use your points is what the DVC membership is for, once you go outside, the value of the points go down. If you wish to go outside the club then be prepared to pay more for less in a lot of cases.

You can't use points to stay at the Wilderness Lodge, only the Villas at Wilderness Lodge.

But you get the best use of your points to stay at a DVC resort instead of any other.

Remember DVC is actually trying to rent out the points (room) you give up. They may not be successful all the time. They also may have to pay someone or offer a discount to complete this portion.

I always thought it was Mousekeeping......

22 -12 = 10 at $10 per point that is 100 bucks to have the room mouse-a-tized.

I think I'll pass.

now i understand a little more.....

i just wish they will build a AKLV .... AKL is great...
