Another might be the transportation issues. Not enough stops & busses during high use times during park opening or closing times for a resort of SSR's size.

If they don't realize that within the time Disney gives you to cancel (which is pretty generous) then they are faced with the resale market.
I wonder if another issue might be the "rise" in interest rates. From reading here I know that some people in the past have recommended financing using home equity loans. Those rates keep going up, driving up payments.....

Still a lot of people did buy the add on for the extra points then looked to sell fairly soon as prices went up. It's obvious some did it this way purposefully and planned. A contract with 7 points in the 2005 contract for 120 or more points still had essentially a years worth of points plus the extra 100 that went to the initial buyer and depending on use year, possibly 2 years worth. If they can get out for their buy in and use the 200-300 plus points themselves, that's not a bad turn around.Pennyguy23 said:Not completly true deb and bill. I just bought a SSR contract with 7 banked points from 2005 and all 2006 points and 2007 points.
It also suggests that SSR contracts are not moving as quickly as certain other resorts. Remember that a lot of contracts never make it to the websites.CarolMN said:With all due respect, just because there are more SSR contracts listed for sale on one or more websites, does not mean that SSR contracts are being sold more often than the others. It just means that the websites the OP looked at had more SSR contracts at the time he/she looked.
If you look at the same website(s) on a different day, you might (probably will) find an entirely different situation. There have been similar threads in the past alleging the same thing for several of the other DVC resorts.
No matter when you look, those websites are not reflective of the resale market as a whole. To assume they are will lead you to erroneous conclusions!
