Same here! Hahaha! My boyfriends mum loves me and I can do no wrong, it's great
Anyway, why don't you get them your budgeted amount in vouchers? That way they can buy whatever the hell they want with it! Or get them a gift voucher from GAME or something that they can then put towards the Mario game they want
Don't spend more than you have to just because they want you to! I never understand people who buy loads for Christmas and then end up in debt because of it, I mean it's the same day every year and you know it's coming therefore if you plan then you won't be in debt!
wow, the cheek of them! I don't know why she would expect you to get her any present never mind an expensive present anyway, you have a child to pay for who is more important than her.
I'm feeling quite lucky at the moment that both my Brothers & their family's aren't like this.
You could give her what I'm getting everyone this christmas: A box of Love ha ha ha!!!
I can't remember who suggested it but I think you should give the money to a charity. You could get Kyra to pick her favourite charity, if she likes animals go to the RSPCA website and you can 'feed and house a cat' things like that and then give her that gift, really bring on the guilt trip. And because Kyra picked it 'especially for her', all the other family members will go aaahhhhh how sweet, and if she complains bring out the coal!!!
Good luck with this and I hope it doesn't ruin your christmas.
Wow, what a pleasant woman- NOT! I really feel for you, what a horrible situation. I agree with what others have said about making a donation to charity in her name. Putting 'from Kyra' is a genius idea that will hopefully send her on a guilt trip... if not, then I think she's a lost cause.
I know I gave in to temptation one year and got a charity oxfam present for my stepmother - an old goat! That might be appropriate as a joint gift for them........
If thats your tradition then its i think thats fine, but for her to impose her way of doing things on us was very unfair on me and my parents as we usually open our gifts before and after lunch.
I would also like to see the ungrateful ***** open a box to find a lump of coal (in fact the £5 one in a tin seems like too much effort to go to )
She should be grateful she can enjoy Christmas with family and actually get a present at all - maybe you could find some of those clips from Children in Need and burn a DVD for her to bring her back to reality
Don't let her spoil your holidays - she is in the wrong. I hope your brother understands and see's what she is like to everyone - it's not fair to single you out.
