Heck, even if you weren't a comic-book nerd like myself growing up, you probably still have a favorite! Did you run around in underoos with a towel tied around your neck so you could have a cape? Did you ever cause yourself bodily harm whilst discovering that you yourself could not actually fly?....my cousin did...knocked out her two front teeth jumping off a barrel pretending to be Wonder Woman.

I'd say, unequivocally, that my favorite superhero is The Green Lantern. I mean come ON. A super hero with a piece of super-powered JEWELERY?? How cool is that! I just adored him. Naturally I am also quite excited about the Green Lantern movie coming out next year. I hope Mr. Reynolds does me proud.

So who's your pick? Superman? Batman? Aquaman? Wolverine? The Hulk? Spidey? Or are you a more off-the-wall kind of person...Deadpool? Gambit? How about a fan of the baddies...Catwoman? The Joker? Magneto? Sinestro? Venom?

myself and allot of other moms i know would rate gambit as number one. don't care so much about his super powers but DANG that suave sexy cajun accent (many of us became aware of him through the fox saturday morning cartoon in the 90's wherein the voice actor they had playing the role had many a mom tuning in long after their kids had lost interest:love::love:).

As a comic book Super Nerd, I think my list would be too long, and I'd feel bad about leaving certain people out. :rotfl:

Although, I will say that I've spent the last 25 years of my life tracking down all things that have to do with Wolverine. So, I guess he'd be my favorite, but I hate to admit it now, since he's become so popular over the past few years. But I do like to say, "Yeah, well I liked him back when..." ;)

Others that would make my top list include Spawn, Thor, and the Punisher.

I grew up primarily a Marvel guy, so I was never well versed in the Superman/Batman stuff.

I should also have included that my favorite female hero is ROGUE. She was just too cool and could kick your you-know-what without half trying. I HATED what they did with her in the movies. They made her a whiny, helpless little nothing. Anna Paquin RUINED her. I almost refused to watch True Blood because I'm still mad at Anna Paquin!

But yeah....Green Lantern and Rogue.

What I bolded above is why Wonder Woman is my favorite. The tiara became a boomerang and the chunky gold cuff bracelets could block bullets. And of course she had the lasso of truth.

She also had a sexy costume and her own private jet (no security pat downs for her!).

I have often wanted to have those bracelets to help deflect snarkiness in real life (or on the DIS)!

I wasn't big on superhero comics. I liked the horror comics better. Stuff like Creepy, Eerie, House of Mystery and Ghosts were the things I was into.

But I did like Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider and Silver Surfer.

Runners-up: Vision and The Scarlet Witch.

And also Vampirella.

Batman. He uses is intellect and trained hard to fight crime. He might be rich, but he has no superpowers.

None. I was a Star Wars nut.

I was Princess Leia, all day, every day. I snuck around the woodshed with my "laser blaster" (water gun) ambushing my brother and his "lightsaber" (whiffle bat). My hair was long enough to actually attempt the "donut ears" hairstyle (still not a good look). I was a member of the official fan club and devoured my newsletter every month when it arrived and had all the "official badges" sewn on my jacket. I even attempted to learn to speak Ewok. It didn't work, human mouths are not built for the vowel/consonent combinations of Ewokese.

I still harbor lustful feelings towards Harrison Ford. :lovestruc

I was a Star Wars nut too, but we're talking SUPERHEROES here. FWIW, I was big time into Boba Fett. HUGE crush on him.

i gather you were a fan of Willow?

Oh goodness yes! LOVED Willow. That's a wonderful movie.

Actually, loved ANYTHING Val Kilmer did between Top Secret and The Island of Dr Moreau. Top Secret was just... odd, and I didn't care much for Island or really anything he did after that. But I ADORED the man in between those years.... and In Willow he had HAIR... I am a sucker for long hair and a big sword.

OK, off topic over now... back to your regularily scheduled discussion... and so if I must pick a superhero, it would be batman... Val as Batman, of course.

Oh Yea!!!!!!!!!!!

I still don't think it's was very fair of DH to nix naming our DS Remy, when we ended up with Logan. DS got both of DH's fav's - middle name is taken from Cable and I got left with squat.

If DH had truely gotten his way, if we hadn't gone with Logan, I still would have had an Xmen name. Dh's other top choice was Xavier.

And yes, DS loves everything and everything to do with Wolverine.

Ironman. Loved him as a kid. Adore Robert Downey Jr in the role

Jean Gray, always had a crush on her, after MJ Watson, but MJ wasn't a superhero
