Whos woken up Tink Lately?...questions

The keyhold is broken. And has been broken since at least April.

I check everytime i go. There is a spark inside the drawer. But you cant see anything inside. Ive tried IN VAIN to get a picture. Using one camera to take the pic, and another for flash. Its impossible.

Also - They are pretty easygoing about waking up tink. I , A 6ft tall, 21 year old girl, have woken tink up on 2 occasions. Once at about 9:30am and once at about 3:30pm.

I think you just cant 'spoil the magic' by doing it one child after another.

Maybe it wasn't working in April but we saw Tink in the keyhole many times this July. It happens very fast though so I doubt you could get a picture.

We did this last month during LOMH, and the shop opened at the same time as Fantasyland, which was an hour before the rest of the park and the scheduled opening time. So, 9 am opening + 8 am LOMH = 8 am store opening and wake-up. Good luck!

When we were there in August, we were able to see a quick "flash of light" in the keyhole, and a chime sounded each time the flash appeared. It occurred about every minute or so in the keyhole, so you may need to stare for quite a few seconds in the keyhole.

Now as far as "Tink appearing in the keyhole", I'm not sure if what we saw was a replacement for it being "broken" or not. I'm not sure if what we saw is the normal "show" or not. Because we didn't actually "see Tinkerbell", it was just a flash.

I'd be curious to hear if others have actually "seen" Tinkerbell's likeness in the keyhole, or if it has ALWAYS been just a flash of light. But either way, it is a pretty cute thing!!

We saw Tinkerbell during that flash of light. This was in July and it was working perfectly.

This is so neat I had never heard of this. Is there any other neat things like this at other WDW parks or other at the MK?

9/3 to 9/10 we tried 3 times to have our Tink wake up the real Tink, no luck at all. She was always up for the day by 8 am. I told the cm's that I'd heard they were allowing Tink to be be woken up several times a day, they said they'd never done that. All we saw was the flash of light in the keyhole, no pic of Tink in the drawer.

My trip was from 8/23-9/1 and it did not work during that period of time.
