Interesting... It seems like there are allot of things out there that can give you an advantage, such as better shoes or clothing. humm....

Good thing I don't plan on winning.

I always run with music - except when I run Disney! I don't know why - I use it for all other races, but I carried it with me for all 39.3 miles of Goofy last year and never even turned it on (although I did get some pretty chaffing from the armband that was holding it). Maybe it was just too cold to find it under my layers - I don't know, but I don't think I will be bothering with it this year
