Okay, why do we have to leave for the airport on Saturday morning at 6 am going to DLR and I am just washing clothes tonight?? :scared1: Why do I still need to go to Target? Why do I still need to do a ton of stuff????????????? What happened to my week??? Anyone else ever had the Procrastinator blues?:confused3

Yes, yes, yes, I can relate. No matter how much I tend to overplan when going on a trip, I always seem to be rushing around at the last minute trying to get all the loose ends tied! :laundy:

lol im like 4weeks away and i am already starting to gather stuff up and get ready to pack lol but i say that then it dosent happen till week before lol

I'm right there with ya, although I'm supposed to be getting ready for 10 days in Maui, and I have NO desire to start packing. What's wrong with me? I still need to go to Target, do laundry, print out itineraries, etc. But what am I doing???? :confused3 Yep, surfing the Disboards. . . . :rolleyes1

Okay, glad it's not just me sitting here at 9:40 pm doing:laundy:

:rotfl2: Okay, about a week ago I was in Target and I saw the items I needed and I just said oh, okay, I will come back and get them. DUUHHHHH! I wish I would have picked them up then!

Oh, don't mention itineraries. I have to print those, my must do/must eat list, and our tickets!!!!!!! Maui, hunh? :sad2: Some people have it all! :lmao:

Seems every time I've gone this last year, I'm washing things the night before. Since most of my clothes and half of hubby's clothes need to be line-dried, that means I'm generally packing some damp clothes in the AM!

You're much more ahead than I usually am. :)

Well, I guess I am not that bad after all. :rotfl2:

We are so excited about this trip. Do you think we will be able to stay up for fireworks tomorrow night? LOL. We arrive at LAX at 10:21 am and then off for the rental car and off to HOJO's. We plan to go in the parks. Should we rest and then go out that night for the parade and fireworks. We will be there until Friday.

For others that are reading, I am doing a TR upon our return home.

Well, for my 10th anniversary/40th birthday combo trip I was originally planning DCL/WDW trip, but Maui ended up being half the price, so I went with Maui!

BTW, I do Maui like I do DLR -- frugally!

Happy packing!

Did you say half price??? Please do a TR. If you do it on another board or somewhere else, please let me know. We would like to go to Hawaii, but we keep thinking it's too expensive and not affordable right now. Have fun!!

Yeah, what she said! You said something on another thread about how the DIS is a nicer bunch than the Hawaii chat boards, and I started looking around, but got quickly lost. I'd really like to find out how to do Hawaii on a budget, the same way I've learned about DL! We've been twice long ago (honeymoon in Kauai and Maui, 5th anniversary Big Island and Maui), but now I'd like to go back and take the kids.

Ok, that was off topic.

I'm always doing those last tiny loads of laundry the night before. You know, 2 pairs of jeans and a shirt? :rotfl: It got so DH would say, "Just come on, if we don't have it when we get there, we'll buy it!"

Not off topic at all. Heck, I want to know, too.

My DH said tonight that if we forget something, we will just go to Target and get it in Anaheim. LOL:thumbsup2

me too id love to be able to go (heck dont tell dh but for moms special treat in few years lol) but i would have to make sure to see the pearl harbor thing. i dont know what island its on

Hey you're a day early...a true procrastinator would be washing/packing on Friday night for a trip on Saturday!

Last January I took the day before our trip off to do laundry, run errands and pack. Mother Nature got even with a bad storm so we were without electricity and water until 10PM and our flights were for 6AM the next day. Needless to say I ended up going shopping for a couple of clothing items.

My entire family.
Not only with Disney but everything in general.

Okay, it's Christmas Eve and guess where I am. At the mall with my dad buying Christmas presents.

Ok, now it's 6pm, we're at my grandma's house. What am I doing? Yes, I'm helping my mom WRAP the Christmas presents.

geeeez

I tend to be very organized, with tons of lists. However my DH is completely opposite. Early tomorrow morning he's leaving for Orlando FL for a week long business trip, in the heart of WDW without the family (safe to say I'm getting back at him come Christmas...revenge is mine (aka a coal shaped pinata) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: . Is he packed and ready to go??? No way, safe to say we are going shopping tonight to get the things he need's to pack for the trip tomorrow. If you think he's bad, we have a friend of ours that leaves packing until less than an hour before his flight is leaving (and he live 30 mins from the airport):scared1: . DL relies on DW (aka ME) to do all organizing otherwise he'd be lost.:flower3:

I hear ya with the procrastinating. I'm actually WEARING one of the outfits that I will take on our DL trip and we leave in exactly one week (I guess that means laundry this weekend). Maybe it would be a good idea for me to spend the weekend packing, but I was on Ridemax making an Excel ride sheet last night and watching the Rep Convention and only go to Buzz Lightyear for my first day (I alphabetically listed the rides like Hydroguy). Not to mention I haven't even organized my "trip book" I'll be making.

Hmmm...it doesn't help that we moved from one apartment to another last weekend AND I unpacked and cleaned everything. Luckily my DBF said he'll do all the cleaning to try to get our deposit on our old place (stupid apartment wouldn't let us prorate our rent---SO we have it until the end of Sept). Oh well, that's the least he could do after he cancelled going with my parents and I to DL next week. ICK!

So...I digress...

OP, I wouldn't recommend trying to close the parks on your first night. I mean yes, usually it's recommended to catch the fireworks when you can, just in case, but you're on Eastern time and it will be much later for your bodies.

I assume you have use of at least one MM while you're there, so if you're going to take part in that on Sunday, I'd say to get to bed so it's even easier for you guys to get up while you're still on eastern time.

Then again, it's not like MM time will *feel* early to you guys on Sunday, so maybe staying up late on Sat will be better, even if you are getting up on Sunday morning.

Can't make up my mind!

I feel ya! We may let our bodies make the decision! ;)

I want to thank everyone who posted! At least I don't feel so bad. I stayed up watching the rest of the Rep convention and then CSI AND then I forgot about the clothes in the washing machine. Needless to say, I have a lot to do this evening! :)
