Who's right - Me or DH? DTD to AKL

Okay, we're going to have our own car and staying somewhere in the DTD area...I think. Let's say Radisson-Celebration, POR or CBR is where we'll be coming from and we want to drive over to AKL to eat at Boma's. The drive is only like 10 mins to 15 mins max, right? DH seems to think it'll take 20 mins. or more. I think he's rode on one too many buses.

An older version of UG (2000) says 17-21 minutes. I guess your both right

Depends on the season, but this last week it never took us more than 10 minutes to get anywhere. We left the hotel and were at the Magic Kingdom gate in like 30 minutes. FROM POP CENTURY!

It depends on which route you go. I'd plan for 20, and then if you're early, all the better.

It never used to be more than 10 minutes, but on my last two trips I caught all of the red lights along Buena Vista Drive in front of Downtown Disney just about every time I drove past, which made travel time from Hotel Plaza Blvd more like 15-20 minutes.

However, if you are coming from CBR or POR, you miss these lights, and the drive is only about 10-12 mins.

Coming from CBR and POR you'd use Buena Vista Drive. But if you're coming from the Radisson - Celebration you could use 192 to World Drive then follow the signs for AK and the AK Lodge.

It's pretty easy to find your way around Disney. The key is to not panic if you're temporarily misplaced There are 3 major roads, Osceola Parkway, Buena Vista Drive, and World Drive. Ok 4, I forgot Epcot Center Drive. Disney property is broken up into 4 sections, AK area, Epcot, MK, and DD. And I can help you with directions as well, if you want
