Who's had the baked Alaska from the boathouse!?

Can you tell me your impressions on it

Wee did last September. It was good. It was enough dessert for 6 people (there were 4 of us). It wasn't a true baked Alaska. The topping was marshmallow fluff that was hit with a torch.

It was enormous. Take as big as you expect it to be and then add 30 percent. I'll see if I can dig up a picture tomorrow.

I remember reading a review here that called it "Faked Alaska" which I thought was pretty clever. The consensus seemed to be that it was ok but if you were expected real baked Alaska you were going to be disappointed.

Well, the menu describes it accurately enough. It's a big ice cream sundae, made into something of an event or spectacle by its sheer size.

We ordered on NYE. This is a picture of my two kids with it but they (Boathouse) call it a S'mores.

Says Rocky Road Ice cream which by definition does have Almonds in it.

for all we know, they may make one with just vanilla for nut allergy purposes though.
