Who's Going to Dapper Days?

OK, since I am in what my DH calls the "go go" phase of retirement, I decided to splurge and go to Dapper Days in November. I just completed the outfit, which is total homage to Sorceror Mickey in celebration of Fantasia's 85 anniversary. OMG...IT IS SO CUTE. I was tempted to stay at GCH since the Dapper Days rate made it almost affordable for me but I decided to stay an extra day since I was staying at CCI. So I will still get to enjoy a bit of Disney Christmas after all since I am jot doing my usual December trip this year.

So, who else will be there? What are your outfits? Let's share some photos...I will post mine when it arrives...just bought off Mercari yesterday and totally by accident, found the matching Stitch Shoppe purse on shopgoodwill! Can't wait to see everyone dressed up!

I made a reservation at GCH for the tail end of Dapper Days. Like you, I'm unable to go for my usual sister trip in Dec because my sister has to be somewhere else. This way, we still get to enjoy some of the Christmas magic and also get the DD rate at GCH. I haven't gotten as far as figuring out what to wear, though!

I will be there! I have an adorable Her Universe Disney vintage style dress that I can finally fit into, so I may wear that, but I'm still holding onto hope I can convince DH to do a younger Carl and Ellie disbound with me. Probably a long shot (he hates extra attention).

ETA: Here's the dress I'm thinking of wearing. I got it on clearance about two years ago, but apparently the sizing is much different than Shop Disney sizing!

No, the above is correct...it is Sunday, Nov. 16 for the park day. There will be other activities OUTSIDE the park at other times according to their website. Just google dapper days disneyland for more info.

I really want to go! I haven't been to the parks during Christmas in years and I love using the Dapper Day rate at the Grand. My family is sick of Disneyland but I'm trying to convince my sister to go with me

If I did go I'd probably use my Dapper Days outfit from a couple years ago because I love that dress.

I DID IT! I actually booked GCH for my Dapper Days stay! Ohmigosh, I can't believe it...we'll see if I actually go through with it...it just shocks me tospend $2,000 for a hotel room! But here's what happened...I booked my room at CCI but only for the two nights...when I tried to add a third night (Monday)...there were no regular rooms available! I can't for the life of me figure out why...Veterans Day is the week before and Thanksgiving isn't until the following week. So I either have to a) hope CCI has a cancellation, b) move rooms on Monday or C) BITE THE BULLET and do GCH.

Please understand that it's not that I can't afford it, especially at the DD rates which are exceptional...it just galls me to spend that much when I could be buying other stuff. My DDH says to stop worrying and go have fun...

So we will see as time gets closer...though I am really tempted as this probably is the only time I would be willing to stay there, in the midst of all the fun. Plus, it will be decorated for Christmas!
