DH is a teacher so we have no other choice. WE are leaving March 28th to spend yet another Easter @ WDW :banana::banana:

So excitied .Who else is going ?? Wait let me ask this who's NOT going:rotfl::rotfl:

We are! We're going March 27-April 4 staying at the POLY. Wish we could go a different time, but my sister's college spring break is the only time she could go.

We are! I am a teacher.. MARCH 28 - APRIL 4TH at the Swan

We'll be there from the 18th March through 8th April, 21 nights at the Happiest Place On Earth, can't wait.

Tricia's mom, you've obviously been there for Easter before, what can we expect crowd wise and do Disney do anything special for Easter?

Prev iously we've been to WDW around Memorial Day weekend and it's been busy over that period, is Easter busier?

Cheers

Kev

Woo Hoo :banana: Us too ! My boys are off from April 2-9th, so we're leaving right after school on April 1st !

Who cares about the crowds ! We'll be at Disney !:rotfl2:

We will be there March 26-April 2. We usually go in Oct/early Nov. Never been there at this time. Really hope it is not too crowded. We went over Columbus Day weekend and that seemed crowded compared to past years in Oct. We have APs and want to get another trip in without pulling kids out of school. Summer is a no go because I think its a waste when we have nice weather here in NJ and Florida is just too hot. Please ease my fears on crowds and tell me it will be ok!!!

We'll be there March27-April 2 and I'm mentally prepared to deal with the crowds, it's our first time visiting during Spring break as I decided not to pull the kids out of school for vacation this year. We did visit once right after Thanksgiving and the crowds were huge all thru that weekend.

We are going March 26 - April 2. Can't wait. We aren't staying on property though. Going with relative and staying at their time share.

Has anyone staying on property received their Mickey mail yet? Has anyone on site received a discount for the photopass via email yet?

I'll be there the 26th through the 30th of March. I'm used to dealing with huge crowds, but it doesn't mean I like it! Haha! Anyway, I'm hoping that because it's just my little bro and I, it'll be a little easier to maneuver around the parks.

we went two years ago for spring break, which is again the week of easter. Was very crowded, so we decided to try not to go again that time of year with 4 kids. We did have a blast, since the parks are opened pretty late with extra magic hours, i think MK was open to like 2am. I think the two days we stayed until 2am were the best times weve had at disney, it was empty. Hope you all have a blast. We are hoping for a late august/sept trip this year.

Yes they have the easter bunny great photo ops ! any meals on Easter sunday are more money ;)

We stayed at PORS lasttime and there was a candy scramble in the morning with mickey and minnie in ther easter best for photos. We didn't go to the parks that day. I don't know if other resorts have a candy scramble..I think just the GF.
The ;)cr;)owds are CRAZY bring lots of patience with you..when you;)expect it it'snot so bad !!

I see everyone is worried about the crowds... YES IT IS VERY CROWDED !!!!
The parks also have a tendency to close because they are to full. There is a system to it...but they DO close when they reach there limit.
Oh I hope you have your ADR'S..

We're going this week! Family of school psychologists here! Also, DSis is in college and I am in grad school and we both have that week off from those schools also...so yes, it will be crowded, but this was the time we could go, and we're going to make the best of it!
We usually go during Christmas...and we do fine. Figure this can't possibly be worse.

we're going this week, too!! I'm worried about the weather, not about the crowds.

Can you tell me a lil about photo pass...do I need to order this, how much/is it worth it...

^^what is this mickey mail? never heard of it :confused3

Mickey mail is mail you receive from Disney when you book on site. It usually comes in a large Disney envelope (this year blue with balloons and the monorail) and it includes information about your resort, the planning dvd. You also receive mail from the Magical Express if you are utilizing this and luggage tags for your luggage. This year you are also getting a photopass card that you can register online before you go and it says Disney will send you special offers if you do. If you booked through Disney you may get a special discount through email for $50 off the photopass. This isn't gauranteed to everyone staying on site though.

Here is a great site about Photopass. http://www.stitchkingdom.com/disneysphotopass/ We did it last year and loved it. It really depends on how many days you are going and how much you want to spend. The original price is $150, but if you get the $50 discount it really isn't bad. You do not have to purchase beforehand (if you get the discount and want to use it you do however) and can get a photopass card from any photopass photographer in the park. You can also give them your camera to take a picture in addition to the one they take with their camera.
