Who's going September 2008?

Thanks! That's a lot of work!

No problem, now if I only I could figure out my ADR's. I have my list but I am unsure of which parks I am going to on which days. Does anyone have theirs figured out and wouldn't mind giving me some advice. I joined TGM so I am trying to stick to his suggestions.

I am brand new to the boards and I AM SOOOO excited this will be my husband and my first trip to WDW EVER:cheer2: . He went back to college to get his degree and is graduating in august and it will be our 1st wedding anv. I thought we should celebrate them both with a trip we have both been wanting to take since we were little so here we go...it took 35 years but were going  We will be there September 7th -12th at All Star Music. I CANT wait I am just counting down the days :cool1:

Hi Chrissy, this is our (myself and DH) first trip to WDW also, so I understand your excitement. We cannot wait! :woohoo:

Thanks Kroy that's awsome to be able to see how many people will be there when we will.

Chrissy,
You will have a great time. Enjoy!!

Thanks,
Angela

Hi there
We went last April 07 and I'm seeing how so many have the bounceback free dining...
Were you offered it at the time..........?:confused3
Wish we could get it too. We want to go Sept 08.:rolleyes1

The bounce back free dining was only offered starting like the first week of Sept 07 till mid Oct 07. They then offered a bounce back of a percent off the rooms. Unfortunatly there is no way to get the offer now but they may open it up to the general public sometime in April but only time will tell. Keep your fingers crossed and your wish might just come true.

We are going for our very first time in Sept/Oct. I am so excited. I hope that they announce that they are having Free dining. This will help us big time with $$$!!!

we are going to go again this sept, and even though i had thought that we would not be able to swing it, we are going to go in sept to pop( we hope)!!!;) my dh has said that we should go for it :dance3: i wish we could have done bounce back, but at the time, we would not be able to go. my kids and dh kept going on about how wonderful disney was, and how they loved going there. dh kept saying how we needed something to look forward to , so i guess we are now officially HOOKED :lovestruc :wizard: we havent booked yet, did not have a pin attached to our names, so we are hoping for ddp in april, will be looking forward to talking and seeing everyone there!!!!

Me::tink: DH :smickey: DD7princess: and DSpirate: will be at the POR September 18-23 and are crossing our fingers for free dining!!! We're sticking to our plans regardless (DDP all the way) but would really love the extra $$$ in our pocket. :)

Our ADRs of choice this trip are:

Hoop-Dee-Doo
Ohana
Crystal Palace
1900 Park Fare
Yak & Yeti (paying for this one b/c HDD takes 2)

We are flying to Disney for the first time this trip and are SO EXCITED about it!!!! This will be our kids' first flight ever!

OMG! We are going to be there at the same time as you. Same exact dates! Same resort and everything! :yay: Maybe we'll see you there! Oh, and we are flying too!!! :dance3: We are totally excited about this trip and hoping for free dining too!!:thumbsup2

Hi Sept. DISers, I have a few questions....

I have never been in Sept., but i am trying to get a trip in this year and am considering late Sept. What is the weather like? How worried should I be about hurricaines? How are the crowd levels in the last 2 weeks of the month? And lastly if I were to book thru AAA could I apply free dining if it came out?

Thanks so much for any help and hope to see you there.....

i was just wondering how busy the end of sept is ? is that when free dining is going to be offered ? I know that if it, then it will be busy

I got bounceback free dining while we were there last year so we will be at Pop 8/30-9/8. Anyone else at Pop during that time? Last year we had some fun meets around the pool later at night with other people from the boards.

I hate to say this but if I remember correctly you had to live in the US to get the free dining plan. They had a separate free dining with different days for UK residents. This year they had free dining for UK residents really early and it only included moderate and deluxe resorts but had more days than offered on bounceback. Anyone who was able to book from Canada or another country please chime in here if I am mistaken.

With free dining you can not get any other discounts and have to pay full price for your room and park tickets. You would just call disney reservations when you hear about the offer and tell them you want to book with free dining. For the person who used a travel agent who went through another company. I think you would have to ask you TA about that one. It concerns me that she used another company that might have put together the trip with pieces from different discount companies which would not work with free dining. You could always cancel and get your own reservations through Disney itself though if it is available in Canada.

Another thing I noticed that was mentioned was that you should hurry and get your dining reservations before you book. I have gone every year and never made my dining reservations till I booked in May for 05 free dining and April for 06 and 07 free dining. I have never had a problem getting exactly what I wanted for dining even at the hard to get into places like Le Cellier or Chef Mickey's. I didn't have problems changing reservations 4 months out either. It was around 2 months before our reservations that it was hard getting into some of the popular places or at popular times. Just sharing my experience so you don't worry about it if you chose to wait.

We will also be at POP Aug 30-Sept 6. I so wish we could add on a few more days but I'm in school and will already be missing the first week! Prof's will just have to understand...that semester Disney comes first!:rolleyes1 I was also wondering about ADR's and when I should start with that. We don't have an itinerary yet and I really didn't want to start trying to figure all of that out until after this semester is over so that makes me feel better. I also wanted to wait until we find out about the free dining. popcorn:: Hoping for it but if for some reason it's not offered I think we may just skip it. Not sure yet, DS will be 4 when we go and won't eat anything but PB sandwiches, Eggo waffles, cheese...must be deli cheese, and a few other foods. He's really, really picky! I'm not sure yet which would be more cost effective. I figured I'll wait until April and see if it's offered and then start pricing the restaurants we really want to go to if it's not. Here's hoping it is so it won't even be an issue!:shamrock:

hello there,
we were in Disney first week of September, last year. We absolutely loved it.
The weather was great and the lines not so bad. There seemed to be a lot of people at the parks, we we never waited for more than 15 minutes for a ride, so I thought that was pretty good.
The only time it rain was at night for about an hour, which wasn't bad at all.
Not sure about the free dining.....check with the travel agent. I love the free dining, totally worth it.

good luck

We'll be there

CBR Sept 26-28
AKL Sept 28-Oct 5

So looking forward to going to Food and Wine for the first time!!!

We are staying at the Poly Sept 12-20. This will be our 6 yo 3rd trip and our 2yo 1st trip. My parents are coming also!! We really can't wait. Went in Sept 05 and LOVED IT, May of 07 was more crowded then Sept so we opted for Sept. this year. It really can not get here soon enough!!
