We'll be there March 18-22 @ GCH :cool1:

This will be our first trip to DL and I can't wait. We are keeping it a secret from our DD's too!!!

We are planning on going to Ariel's Grotto for dinner on Tues. night. I know they will love it! Any comments on this place?? Is it necessary to make ressie's for it?

Any tips, comments, suggestions would be great!!!

We plan on going to:
MK on Monday--eating bfast in room. Any must do's for lunch or dinner?
DCA on Tues.---bfast in room again. Dinner at Ariel's
Wed. will be doing things that we missed or want to do again.

Our DD's are 3 & 7---any tips or suggestions for must see things that they would like?

Thanks again!!!! :thumbsup2

We took DD to Ariel's Grotto for dinner in Dec 05 and she absolutely LOVED it! The expression on her face when each of the princesses came over and chatted with her was priceless... we'll be taking her back again for her birthday in April. I don't recall much about the food other than you choose a starter, main and dessert for one fixed price. It was busy when we went so I'm glad we made reservations... it's probably a good idea since there's lots of little girls wanting to have dinner with Ariel, Cinderella, Belle, etc.

As for lunch, I HIGHLY suggest going to the Blue Bayou though. The monte cristo is to-die-for and I believe you can only get it for lunch. If you can get a table water-side, it makes the dining experience that much more special.

Best of luck and have fun!

I would definitely get reservations for Ariels - that way you won't be dissapointed. My DD absolutely loved seeing all the princesses.

If you have park hopper tickets I would actually suggest hitting the parks differently. The way that we like to do the parks is to start out at DL as soon as open, and then hop over to DCA when DL gets busy - then hopping back over to DL at night or later afternoon. DCA is never that busy, and during the afternoon when DL is at its peak - DCA is very reasonable. You can also get fast passes for DL, then hop over to DCA and still utilize the fast pass system at DCA. When you hop back to DL, the passes will still be good, even if it is after the "scheduled" return time.

Either way you do it - have a great trip!!!

Absolutely necessary to get a PS for Ariel's unless you want to possibly waste a ton of park time. It is a great meal, I am sure you will have fun! We've done it three times, and it's been great each time.

Have to absolutely agree with this! Hopping back and forth (It's super easy!) will allow you to fit more into each day. Plus DL opens first so on the second day you would be wasting early morning hours waiting for DCA to open. And DL is open later so you will probably want to go there after DCA closes. I Find the DL- DCA - DL days work out awesome!

We'll be there March 11-16, so we'll just miss you! Hope you have a magical time! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Devote some time to the Princess Faire near ToonTown! My DD is too old for it---but it looks fab for younger girls!

I love secret trips!!!! You've got quite a while to keep it in---good luck!

Get "First Time Visitor" pins, and crowns for your little Princesses---they'll love the extra attention.

BTW---I agree the DL then DCA then DL plan works great!

My girls are 5 and 7 but we have been going in March or May for the last 4 years. March 18 is dd7 birthday but we were unable to find the hotel we wanted for that weekend. (It is a spirit competition so lots of loud kids.) They don't usually show up till evening after their competitions but did increase the crowds at the park. We are going the week before this year.

My advice that gets the most in is go to Fantasyland first. We hit it early and go on rides, especially peter pan and Dumbo before it fills up. If you have extra people have an adult get fast passes for Buzz while you are in FL. It is great to be able to walk on that one. We do the hopping between parks also. FL slows down a lot at the end of the day so the kids can ride quick again. That is except for Peter Pan. After the first 1/2 hour that line is long all day long.

Have a great time and bring rain gear. Last year we went the weekend you are going and had quite a few showers. Big ponchos over the stroller kept it dry and lots of layers to keep the kids warm.

Enjoy your trip.

We'll be there March 7-12 for our first trip too! I can't wait and yes, the trip would not be complete without lunch/dinner with the princesses for my 5yr old DD :) I have my "to do" list already started to get reservations for this.
Have a great time!

We will be there 3/11-3/17.

This is a set price character meal. It is all princesses, they make the usual rounds to your table. It is also the only place to meet Ariel with legs!!!

Here is a link to the prices and menu:

We really like it and have done it three times. The atmosphere is cute, and your little ladies man may just like it~
