OMG, I'm freaking out! We are supposed to leave for Disney on Saturday and they are forecasting a major snowstorm. Of course they are not giving too many details yet. I called the airlines to see if we can go the day before to get ahead of the storm but they want to charge us around $1000. That's crazy, and the worse part is they have empty seats. They know the weather is coming. I'm freaking out. We may lose a whole day at the park and even lose our hotel and dining plan for the first day if we don't get out. Aggravating, I don't know what to do...

OMG, I just got off the phone with the airline and they agreed (finally) to put us on an earlier flight due to impending weather and they won't charge us! We will leave Friday instead of Saturday so only two more days. OMG, I better go pack.......................

oh yeah, and I have to find a hotel for Friday too.............

So right now they're showing rain for the first 3 days of our trip I'm not too concerned yet because weather people can't even predict what is going to happen tomorrow But I'd still rather see sun in the forecast, at least the temperature is in the 70's

Thank goodness only twelve more days to go until vacation. That is only eight work days. Work has been extremely stressful, so its good that WDW is only a few days away.

So glad they agreed to put you on an earlier flight! It looks like there will be lots of canceled flights in that area (we're in Philly). I hope next Friday is clear since that is when we fly out!

We are flying out of Baltimore on Monday morning (real early). I have no experience with how long it takes airports to clear the runways - do you guys think it will be clear by Monday? How do they handle all the backed up flights? I need to get away so bad and its a short trip - I don't want to lose even a minute . What do you think?

You are lucky to be getting out early. May I ask what airline you are using? It is good to know who is willing to work with you due to weather concerns.

Its almost that time. Did a little shopping and packed the suitcase. Just a few more things to pack and we are off next Thursday.

BTW, did my online check in for the first portion of my trip at SSR. I did request a view of DTD. When I looked under my reservation, it did say water view and Pirate view?

You should be fine for Monday, they are forcasting another big storm Tues into wed that has the potential to be over a foot again so looks like you'll be ahead of that one.

I'm flying Airtram. It wasn't easy to get them to switch, I called reservations four times and they were so rude and wanted to charge me close to $1000 but then I called customer service and they totally understood, changed me to an earlier flight with no problem! Be persisitant!

I can't believe they're predicting another storm. I'm glad you were able to re-book. I am cautiously optimistic about getting out on Monday. JetBlue's website says they are allowing anyone booked Fri. though Sun. to re-book without penalty.

gah, we were going for a Thursday to Sunday trip...but my 15 year old got diagnosed with MONO

now that she's missed a week of school, i can't let her miss that one friday...and have no idea if she'll have the strength to do all day at the parks when we go....i feel bad for her getting so far behind in school....she's a straight A, honors, AP student..missing that one day would have been nothing. oh well, i'm happier to have a healthy daughter, but still sad that our disney vacay will be shorter

The National Weather Service has just upped our forecast to 20-28 inches. I hate winter. I hate cold. I hate dark. And I really really hate snow. We're also suppoed to go to Disney early Monday. I know some of you have already reassured me, but can you do it again ? I'm so scared we won't get out of here.

3 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OUR KIDS HAVE BEEN 4 TIMES BUT THEY ARE MORE EXCITED THAN EVER. OUR DAUGHTER WAS VERY SICK 3 WEEKS AFTER WE WENT LAST TIME. THIS IS OUR GRATEFUL SHE IS HERE TO GO...AGAIN.
