I'll be in town for the F&W half marathon weekend and visiting MK for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, but I'm on the fence about dressing up for that visit since my primary reason is for the half marathon.

have you ever beem to the not so scary halloween party. we are talking about that place too...

Its universal Islands of Adventure halloween nights. Way too scary for kids.

I'll be there for Halloween. My dad and I are going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on the 30th. Can't wait! Don't know if I'm dressing up though.

We'll be at Universal the week leading up to Halloween. Not going to the party, though. Too scary for me. (DH could handle it, but I'm a wuss.)

We will be there over the Halloween week. Not planning to attend MNSSHP. We are going to EPCOT and DHS for actual Halloween. Last year we were in Mexcio for Dia de las Muertas, plan to have dinner at San Angel Inn to see if it will be celebrated.
Still, on the fence about costumes!

We'll be heading down Sept. 23 - our first year at MNSSHP. (Yes, we'll be doing HHN at Universal in a subsequent week, but that's going to be far less fun, more intense for me because I'm a wimp).

We'll be a party of 5 adults, and we're going as a pirate airship crew. Planning on having a great time and scoring Candy. Really, those kids don't need the candy - we do!! popcorn::

Single guy traveling alone to WDW in OCT! Never been to MNSSHP, can't wait to see it! Are there any specific resorts people would suggest for a solo traveler?

In October?

Hmmm.... something in stumbling distance from the Food and Wine festival?

:confused3

DC you are not helping.....
ignore him, Epcot W, he already has a place to stay.

as for places to stay, it all depends on what you're looking for. I tend to stay away from the value resorts only because there tend to be a lot of children there. not that I don't like kids, but when I'm vacationing, I don't want to deal with little ones (or big ones for that matter) who go into meltdown mode.
I would look into Port Orleans or Caribbean Beach or if you would like to step it up, Wilderness Lodge or Boardwalk. If you plan on spending a lot of time in Epcot Boardwalk and those in that area (yacht club, swan & dolphin...) there is a boat that takes you right to the world showcase. if you like downtown disney, then Port Orleans may be the place to stay; again, there are water taxis to take you back and forth

Myself and 2 friends will be going to MNSSHP on Oct. 31. We aren't planning on dressing up, but we will have halloween shirts on..

Hey! I'm just saying. Getting someplace in Stumbling distance means no having to worry about a DD or making your way on a bus at the end of the day.

;)

:lmao:

we loved it at San Angel Inn the food was great and the restaurant was beautiful

My friend and I are going Oct. 25th to the land for Mickey's halloween party. I really wanted to be zombie Walt, but we decided that wouldn't fly..I still think it's a great idea though. My friend wants to be Sally and I have no idea what I'm doing..maybe a bat or a cat now that my one Disney idea has been squashed.

Do you think adults would feel uncomfortable getting the Pirate's League makeup/treatment?

I've done opening day at Disneyland and I also visited Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween event at WDW on Sunday, October 2. I did not dress up for the Disneyland event but I did wear a mask at the WDW event. I wanted to dress up but my arm is in a sling so it prevents me from wearing my costume. Nevertheless at the MNSSH at WDW I noticed numerous costumes and some where abolutely amazing. I love the creativity of the people that dress up.

Not going to make it this year... but, I've gone in the past... and, have had a BLAST.

Last time, I think I went as a pirate! =)
