Who's Going August 2005??

When in August 2005 are you going and where are you staying?


DH, myself and our 5 DD's will be there from Aug. 27th to Sept.3rd.

We are staying at Pop Century for 3 days and going to Disney.Then for the rest of the week we will be staying at the RPR and going to Universal/IOA.

I'll be there the same dates as you with DH, DS 14, and DD 9. We'll be staying at the Swan the entire time, using AAA and nurses discounts. No plans for going to Universal, we're not big on thrill rides and feel there's enough to keep us busy the whole week at Disney.

lorik -- you are using both AAA and nurse's discount at swan? wow, i did not think you could combine discounts... would you be kind enough to share how much per night? also, do you know if you can mix those two plus starwood points discounts in any combination?

then switching to Beach Club Villas 8/21-8/24
and back to VWL 8/24-8/27 which Im hoping by Thurs will be changed to BCV

gigi1313: I originally tried to get the nurse's discount for our entire stay but was told it wasn't available until 9/1. I asked if the AAA discount was available and was told it was. They said I could use the AAA discount, $169.50, for the first 5 nights and the nurse's discount, $149, for the last 2.
As far as Starwood points, I don't know since I haven't earned any yet. I would think that at the least you should be able to get an upgrade with them.

ah, lorik, that makes sense... thanks for responding! i would keep trying for the nurse's discount as well as keep my eyes on the boards 'cause last year the swan/dolphin offered great discounts to disboarders!

DH and I are there from Aug 2nd until August 24th. Haven't booked hotel yet. I am hoping for an AP discount. We are joined on August 9th by DD and boyfriend, and DS and girlfriend. DD and boyfriend are staying off site to give them a little breathing space from DS's girlfriend every now and again. LOL
