Who's going 9/4 to 9/11??

trracers:

From your sig you seem to like September. We went the last week of August last year and it was okay. We had to go with September this year due to my little sister's wedding. We were thinking of going in June next year. How is September?

We'll be at CBR sept 6-13th we're driving down from ontario, all 6 of us!!! lol me, dh, ds8yrs, dd4yrs, neice10yrs and my mother who shall remain ageless. We have a dvd in the van and man is it awesome! we went last year aug31- sept8 and it was very quiet after labour day.

kelscross:

I LOVE September!! Last year we didn't wait in line for ANYTHING!! For example: We rode Buzz Lightyear and when we came back around, there was no line and they told us we could just stay on...we rode continuously FOUR TIMES!

Another example: We walked through the long winding cue for POC and never saw another soul. When we got to the boats, the CM said, "thank goodness, I haven't seen any PEOPLE in over 30 minutes"...

Anyway, lots of stories like that, but here is my favorite....

Walking through the castle and the "seating" CM is outside telling people she has immediate seatings for Breakfast with Cinderalla :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: ...Okay...if THAT doesn't convinve anyone how low crowds are, then I don't know what might!!

Have a WONDERFUL trip and let me know if I can help with anything else!!

Spectromagic will only be Sat, Sun and Tues.

According to the Disney website it is Sat, Sun and Wed. MK is hosting the Nights of Joy christian concerts Sept 9-11 so closing time is 6pm those days.

We will be at PC arriving late 9/3 through 9/11.

kelscross, where are you at in Ohio? Are you driving?

skoba-nelson: I live in Xenia, OH right outside Dayton. We are flying out of Dayton airport. Airtran has direct flights to MCO once a day. The price was okay. I think I booked it too early because they have come down a bit. From what I see you can fly southwest from Indy for much, much cheaper. Do you drive? If so, how long does it take you? We are thinking of driving next year. I hate driving but I will have to pay for both of my girls' admission to the parks next year so the budget is becoming tighter.

trracers: September sounds great to me then! I remember the last few days were were there last year (end of Aug) the crowds were thinnning quite a bit. Our last day in MK was dead as a doornail! We rode everything in just a few hours. We might not do June next year we might do September again then. We'll see!

hi kelscross,

I am not the big fan of flying but DW is. For our Nov. 2000 trip a couple of things made me say no more flying. Everyone talks about the fact that it is just a 2 hour flight, well that 2 hour flight is an all day affair. We had to be at the airport (Clev.) early. Don't remember how early but I do remember eating breakfast there. By the time we got our luggage, found transport to ASSp and then checked in we had to RUSH to make it to our PS for the Poly Luau for dinner. We left Clev. at breakfast. On the return trip our luggage did come with us to Cleveland. Waited up for a courier from Continental while keeping an eye on their website. He brought 1 at 2AM, said he had no clue where the others were. In the morning there were on the front porch for the world to see covered in snow.

Now we drive. First driving trip we left at 7am or so, drove to Brunswick, Georgia arriving at 8 pm or so. Next morning made it to ASSp before noon (and our room was ready). We broke up the trip home to stop in Daytona for some Speedweeks events.

Second driving trip (this one with a 5 month old). We left around midnight and were taking 71/75 instead of the shorter (for us) I-77 route. The WVDOT site said 77 was snow covered near Charleston. We made it PO-R around 8pm. Had some lengthy stops to keep DS happy. On the way home we stopped at Mooresville, NC. Charlotte is closer to 1/2way, but there was a NFL game or something and I didn't want to deal with extra traffic on Sunday.

This trip should be easier. Driving in the winter is harder because darkness comes earlier and my fear of deer. We should have 3 more hours of light at the end of day alone than Jan/Feb.

That doesn't seem too awful bad of a drive. We will have four adults next year and we can all switch off. If we do drive, we will be renting a minivan probably one with the vcr or dvd or whatever comes with them now a days. Depends on where we want to stay. If we do value resort then we can fly, if any discount codes come out we may even be able to do Moderate and fly. BUT...whether discount codes or not, if we want to stay Delux again we will have to drive.
