Who's going 9/4 to 9/11??

We had originally targetted early September as the dates of our trip but we've had to move it to early May.

I was really wanting to see the 3 days of Night of Joy concerts. Maybe next year.

We will be there 9/4 to 9/11. We are staying at POR. We went the same week last year and it was so fabulous that we had to do it again. Saturday and Sunday will be crowded...Monday will then out...and the rest of the week is walk on rides. One of my favorite pictures is standing under the Splash Mountain sign with a 5 minute stand by line.

We will be there 9/3 to 9/11 at OKW villas. Very excited as it will be dd's 3rd birthday while we are there.

Spectromagic will only be Sat, Sun and Tues. I really wanted to go to MK on Sat (our first full day) am I crazy?? I figure we still have all week to go on rides etc... since we are only doing 4 parks hopping and BB one day between 8 days. I just can't imagine not going to MK our first full day.

did you do MK on sat or sun last year - was it that much of a difference?

I am the same way. We are going to the MK on Saturday and we did last year as well. It was pretty crowded, but that is where we had to be on our first day as well. We did what we could and we were able to go back two more times during the week since the crouds were so thin...we finished the other parks much faster.

Will be there 9/4 thru 9/11 @ OKW (Going into MK on Sunday) is it crowded on Sunday as well?

It is still crowded on Sunday. It starts thinning out on Monday and Tuesday is a ghost town. I still have so much fun that it doesn't even matter.

We are in Yaphank, 20 minutes west of Riverhead. We will be driving, we decided we had to try it once.

you are so brave! how old is your child/children? mine are 7 and 9 and although they did great in the van to canada over memorial day, i'm still chicken to drive to florida! (plus, w/$49 each way flights out of islip, why bother?!)

we *LOVE* our portable dvd player... the best part is that it came w/headphones! LOL! it made our ride to canada very enjoyable... i am sure it will help w/your trip to florida!

(but you realize you can fly round trip for $115 per person on your dates, right? i'm obviously pro-flying! LOL! once it's time for vacation, i cannot stand the wait/time that driving would take! LOL!)
