Who's experienced the least crowded trip to WDW??

The first couple of weeks in December are reported to be the least crowded in the Unofficial Guide. I went after 9/11, and the crowds were minimal. I don't remember waiting in line for anything. The Christmas atmosphere is fun also, and there's MVMCP!

We went the first week of February 2003 and it was very uncrowded with 0 to 5 minute waits. We went the last week of January 2004 and the crowds were up more than the year before, 15 to 20 minute waits, 25 minutes for The Great Movie Ride. It seemed more crowded to us but still doable. We are going the beginning of December this year and hope not to be disappointed.

Sad as it was, the parks were dead 9/23-28 2001. We walked on just about everything. I actually videotaped a major walkway in Epcot around 2:00pm one day. There was not another person in sight. It was freaky!
I too was there during this time frame, and I believe we were the only ones in the World Showcase for a long time, it felt like we owned the place, and it took several months for it to really start picking up again.

The slowest time when we went was January 1998. We were only there for a few days and our DD was two, so MK was our focus. One day it was rainy and MK was almost empty. No waits for anything! The next day was cool and sunny, but still the waits were less than 5 minutes for the rides.

We were there Dec 3rd-8th last year. While it was slow, there were still lots of people everywhere!!! DTD was very crowded over the weekend (locals christmas shopping maybe?) and even some of the restaurants had very long walk in waits (ie chef mickeys and the crystal palace). We did FP for anything we could with a wait, and got lots accomplished in a short amount of time. It was slow if you compare it to Easter week but not DEAD!!!
Our next trip is Jan 2nd -7 th 2005. we are hoping it will be even less crowded!!

We were also there 9/17-25/01. No crowds at all. Although from this thread it doens't seem like it.

We also went 3rd wk of Sept 03 and would def recommend this time. Guess with school just starting not a good time for most to plan a vac.

We were there early Nov. 2001, and it was still pretty slow. In fact, we had made reservations as POFQ and they closed the whole resort. They offered to put us in one of the other moderates, but I said "you don't understand, we've already shown our daughter pictures of the pool and she's all ready to go" etc; I guess I whined effectively because we ended up with a poolside room (ground level, we could walk from our patio door to the pool!) at WL for no extra cost.

Rode Space Mtn while DW & DD waited. No line, so after riding I jogged back through the building and rode the other side.

Also went Sept 25-Oct 2 2002 and found the parks nearly as empty.

I went to WDW the Christmas after 9/11.....12/26-12/29
It was not crowded at all....... Although there was still a lot of people....:teeth:

Ditto, Week after Labor Day also - any year!!!

Have to agree w/ the previous posters on this one. The week after Labor Day is a fantastic time to go.

We have always travelled to Disney around thanksgiving (avoided the parks during the weekend) for three weeks.

This used to be a wonderful time to go but 2003, I think word has got round, because the parks were the busiest we have seen them, (apart from the day befor thanksgiving once in MK BIG mistake)
The magic Kingdom was absolutely packed we had to fastpass which we don't usually do and Universal was busy too Shrek was just mobbed all day.

Now I have never been in June, July or August so maybe my 'packed' was slow compared to others experiences but anyone who has been spoiled at this time may be surprised by the upturn in attendence, we certainly were!

This year due to School we have scheduled our trip in October to incorporate the week school holiday. I am hoping it will not be busy, I am expecting lots of Brits at this time, but I hope less 'Hispanic tour groups' I am pretty sure they are not Brazillian but I may be wrong.

By the way I am from England myself, I am not saying this as a bad thing but I know that this is a popular time for Brits.

well it wasnt a good time, we went a little after 9/11. There was no one there pratically. the lines were 10-15 min tops! We got to ride splash mountain three times in a row without getting out of our log because no one was in line! it was pretty strange but not busy at all.
