I have a few questions...how many days do I need to cover the park 2? 1 for rides and 1 for the museum etc? What part was your favorite? What part who you skip? Any suggestions?

I would go for two days. That way you can be sure and see and ride everything that everyone is interested in. If you get through it faster (i.e., low crowd levels) that gives you time to go back and do your favorites.

It rained off and on when we were there so we spent a lot of time in the Chocolate Factory. My kids, okay me too :rolleyes1, liked the free ride that was there. They handed out snack size candy bars at the end of the ride. We probably rode it a dozen times. :)

We love Hershey - off season, during the week. If you want to save some money, do the free preview the night before, and get a coupon for park tickets. We like to start in the back, and work our way forward. Food is expensive (and I live 8 miles from NYC), and you aren't allowed to bring food into the park. The waterpark gets crazy crowded. The 3D movie at the "museum" is overpriced, but my kids love it. We also love the ride in the museum, kind of like It's a Small World, dated but cute.

I live in Hershey and would recommend 2-3 days if you plan to experience everything there is. I would spend 2 full days in the park and 1 full day touring the other attractions which include The Hershey Story, Chocolate World and the trolly tour.

If you plan on coming anytime from June 10-Sept 6 be prepared for crazy busy crowds and long lines in every part of the park on every day of the week. Us locals usually end up going during the work week (nights only) and Sunday afternoons. The weekends are filled with tourists and busses upon busses of school groups.

:rotfl: we always ride that thing at least a dozen times too. LOL
my kids love it!

Just spent this Sunday in Hershey. I think it would depend on when you go. The park Sunday was empty...walked onto almost every single ride. I would think 2 days would be a good amount of time to get things done.

As for food, I thought it was comparable to WDW prices. I carried waters and snacks in my tote bag and went through bag check with no problems. I'm sure if I had a big cooler it may have been an issue, but they said nothing about what I had.

I'm in Hershey a lot. A LOT. In fact, I am here right now.

Oh yeah, I work in Hershey, right next to the parks and the Giant Center :lmao:

We did the museum on our second day. My son, 6 at the time, did an apprenticeship. I think that is what it's called. It was like a scavenger hunt through the museum. And the people are the museum were beyond pleasant!
We spent the first day in the park doing the water and regular rides. I would skip doing the water rides personally, if we were to do it again.

We like to go for 2-3 days. Usually a day for Chocolate World attractions and other things like shopping in the Hershey area. The other day and a half or two days spent at the park. Don't forget they have a water park too and you could spend most of the day just in that section of the park! Check out my fan site for info and pictures and menus: www.hersheyinfo.com

Don't miss The Hershey Story on Chocolate Ave. It's a great little interactive museum, and you can make your own chocolate creation...it is an extra charge, but worth it. Lots of fun! In the little cafe` restaurant, they also do a chocolate tasting. You buy six little shot glasses of different chocolate from around the world. It is liquid, so you drink it. It was a lot of fun. We bought one tasting round for four of us...you don't need more than a small sip.

I like Hershey, and since it's in easy driving distance we usually go at least once per summer. I prefer to have two days, but we have often done it as a day trip.
