@msmith - I had absolutely NO PROBLEMS. And, yes, I was booking for 180 + 10. We arrive on October 20th and we stay until the 29th. I was actually shocked at how smoothly everything went. It is a different system than was in use when I made my ressies in 2009. Well....at least slightly different. Much better. Put it this way: I was logged on by 5:45, entered my package reservation number and then clicked "dining". I typed in Crystal Palace (I chose that one to do first because it's the toughest reservation on my list) and kept hitting refresh until (my time) 5:59, when it took. I confirmed, got the confirmation number and moved on to the next reservation. No worries, no problems, and everything was there when I went back to the "My Reservations" page. I was done by 6:08. Again - love it and Disney and I am just so excited today (and this is after a trip to the mall...UGH).
OK....on to our plans.
We arrive on Thursday, October 20th, and even though we land at 9am, we don't do the parks on travel days. You'll understand why in a second. We'll get our baggage and rental car and head off to DTD. We always eat lunch at the Earl of Sandwich and then we window shop. We'll head over to POR, check in and, once our bags are in the room, we'll go to
Walmart to get juice, water, Dr. Pepper and whatever else we might need.
OK....now onto our days in the parks. Usually, we end up at Epcot every night and we like to eat off peak hours. We're not real big eaters either, so lunches do us just fine.
Fri October 21st - statting off at MK (it's a tradition to start there). Dinner at Teppan Edo at 6pm.
Sat October 22nd - EMHs at DHS so we're there. We're going to eat lunch at Sci-Fi Drive In at 11:30am.
Sun October 23rd - San Angel Inn at 1:20pm
Mon October 24th - lunch at Tusker House at 11:30am (we fell in love with this place on our last trip...such fantastic food)
Tues October 25th - dinner at California Grill at 7:45pm. I scheduled it so we could watch the MNSSH fireworks.
Wed October 26th - Crystal Palace at 8:05am. Again, another tradition of ours.
Thurs October 27th - dinner at Restaurant Marrakesh at 6:00pm.
We were being mindful of the Food & Wine Festival when scheduling our reservations because we really like to eat all the different foods. And scheduling early lunches lets us have the rest of the day free. We know we didn't plan for using all our dining credits at this time, but we're just gonna go with it. Plus, I've heard good things about the food court at POR - that sometimes they'll let you use the table service credits as counter service there. One can only hope. And if not....that's ok.
Hope you enjoyed my plan. Talk to you all soon....I have to go and make tacos for dinner.
