Whoo Hoo! Got my Mickey Luggage!

My three piece MIckey luggage came today! It's AWESOME! What a great price too. I see what many were talking about how there's a 19 week wait now for it. It's listed online that it will ship in 19 weeks. I must have gotten one of the last ones. All those Dis'ers ordering them!LOL We are thinking about getting another set too!

Anyway, I highly recommend this set!

Got mine too. Ordered the first day of the sale. With hubby's CM discount and our free shipping it was a really good deal for us ($45) (I needed luggage like a hole in my head, but too good to pass up.)

It is going to be so much fun when we go to WDW to see how many other people have the same luggage!! I've gotto figure out some way to make sure that I can tell mine from all ya'lls!! I got the set for Mother's Day and just love it!!!!

Glad that you're all enjoying the luggage. I really wanted it, but I don't need more luggage, nor do I have a place to store them. I bought a suitcase 2 years ago, so that's all I need. I just wish it was Disney.

I just purchased the set and received it last week. My other set was only 5 years old and didn't look used, but I wanted Mickey so bad and it was too good to pass up.

Now, I'll just sell my old set at our next yard sale in two weeks. That will pay for the purchase I made.

As for distinguishing them, there is a store online called Magellans. They have tons of travel stuff. They also have neon colored tags and colored wraps for around the handles to make your luggage stand out. I have a wish list made there and after my yard sale, I'm going to get some stuff...

I was SOOOOOOO tempted to buy that for my adult DD ( a HUGE Mickey fan) but they just got a brand new set of regular black luggage when we went in 2001 and it didn't seem like a financially responsible thing to do..

Anyone care to talk me into putting it on back order for her for her BD in late August? LOL

I went back to order another set today because they are offering Free shipping on $75 or more. 18 weeks back ordered! It wont make it for our Sept. trip. (Just DH and I going to a wedding)

I'm making luggage tags from the neon green mickey head paint samples from Home Depot ( a suggestion in another thread). Got a ton of the samples, plus some laminate sheets from Walmart. But then again - based on the # of people trying to get these paint samples - everyone will have this too? I can just picture it now - 3 dozen exact same luggage, tags, etc........

etwinchester - have you checked out the FREE neon green mickey head paint samples from Home Depot (or just about any place that sells Disney paint)? And for color wraps - my husband has used colored electrical tape - that he wraps around the handle. We have black luggage - and last time use flourescent yellow. REALLY stands out.

I'm making him take it off for this trip (they're getting sticky anyways) - and now I'm trying to find lime green electrical tape to match my luggage tags.......................

Too many great suggestions around here - my family think I've flipped.

Thanks for the mickey head idea from Home Depot but it seems that a lot of people are doing that now...

I've decided to make my own luggage tags on the computer. I used business cards and on the one side I have a picture of mickey and friends, and on the other, our important information.
I also made luggage tags for my DD as well. Her's has disney princess's on the one side and important information on the other. I got clear laminate tag holders at the dollar tree to laminate them in. It also came with the strap to attach them to the luggage. It turned out so CUTE and I'm glad I thought of that instead.

I also ordered cheap luggage wraps somewhere else as well. I don't want to use electrical tape and ruin the luggage. That stuff is so sticky and you'd have to use a bottle of undo if you ever wanted to get it off...

That won't help when we all go to Orlando at the same time with the same luggage and the same luggage tags.

I responded like this earlier......I can just picture it now - a dozen people standing around - a dozen Mickey suitcases coming down the conveyors - all with little neon green Mickey's hanging from them.

I already have lime green luggage tags - from a couple years ago - just a a coincidence I guess. I just wanted to make the "extra" tags - cuz it's Mickey!!!!!!

I went ahead and ordered an additional set. Hopefully it will not take that long!

We took our Mickey luggage on our 10 day trip last week. Loved the expandable option. Very durable! Definitely needed it coming home. Also I had to use some of our old luggage too and I could definitely tell the difference when pulling Mickey. The wheels are very smooth. I also like the locking handles that you pull it by.

I promised Dh (aka pack mule) that I would limit packing to the 6 pieces of Mickey luggage for our family trips next year. He was not happy with 8 pieces of checked baggage this trip. I didnt tell him they were expandable! LOL

was checking out the sales at DS online and saw that this luggage has been put back at full price. it was on sale of the weekend. I guess with the 14 week backlog, they decided to slow down the sales. I also ordered the pooh set (3 pieces out of 4 available) for my daughter. Glad I got the black mickey set when I did.
